Way too expensive and overrated for what it is!!!! They don't have killer whales, and I paid 350 rmb. A rip-off! They should get killer whales and more polar bears (otherwise it shouldn't be called polar park) not just a cub! Adult polar bears as well as hybrids (grolars and pizzlies) mixing with the brown bears. It honestly deserved to be 200 rmb, not 350!!!!

Love it!
This is the best water world we've ever been, even better than some of those in a more "developed" countries. I was skeptical, since the ticket was rather expensive, but the varieties of water animals available in there and the shows they made really blown us away, and every cents of money were worth it. We enjoyed so much that we went in around 10 in the morning, and played and enjoyed until the worker basically asked us to leave because it was time to close :D
A few keys animal available there, up close right behind the thick glass: 3 very large friendly dolphins. They literally play with you through the glass. You can also see them up stair via the opening of the pool. The polar bear, trying to eat my little son (through the glass) seeing how similar in size he is to the seal :). The white whale, with a great show. The penguin Madagascar style swimming back and forth in the tank, right in front of your eyes, there was even one guy standing still like "Skipper", so funny. More dolphin, with another great show.
The pirates show is our favorites, performed by (most likely) Eastern European performers, they were just so great and funny.
Ok no more spoiler, it's a great place, if you like water animals. The dolphins were our most favorites!

This is a theme park just for children because they get entertained with just a little. In their innocence, children cannot notice a lot of things. For example, the price is absolutely crazy. we paid 700 RMB for a family of three. With the same amount, I can get a nice weekend retreat in the countryside of Hangzhou meals included. However, there are plenty of animals so the children are happy. However, the conditions of the animals are not very good, some of them look malnourished, and most of them are packed like sardines. the foreign entertainers are not entertaining at all and they are just hired to add a touch of exotic feeling to the park. the overall conditions of the infrastructure and cleanliness need to be improved urgently. people littering everywhere and feeding animals any kind of food is a bad image and tarnish the overall reputation of this zoo. I just give average because my son, with his innocence, enjoyed the place

First note that the polar part is tiny. This is part of a massive theme park for children.
Second note the price. Each adult is ¥240. That's ¥240 each adult. Children are ¥210. We were there at 1030 and it was completely empty. I can see why.

Make sure you plan your trip for the various shows, they are the best part about it! Highly trained and professional, really entertaining. The other exhibits were ok, a few of them rather sad of the small chambers, but the worst part is all the young mothers with iPhones pushing their way around to take a selfie with their kid and the animal in the background. It was really crowded on a hot saturday afternoon, if possible I'd go on a weekday. I would definitely say it's worth a visit for those with kids or others who have interest. The tickets were pretty expensive 230, there is a lot you can do in Hangzhou with that, but overall I'd say it was worth it. Just DON'T pay the extra 10 kuai to see the "3D" movie, it was a complete waste of time waiting in line, for just 10 minutes of badly coordinated 3-D cartoon about dinosaurs. Also bring some drinks and snacks with you, they are really overpriced inside.

Polar park is a decent place to take children for a day.
Sea creatures, turtles, fishes were fun to watch.
The whale show was good.
Feeding them was fun.
The whale also kissed our cheeks which was exciting.
Overall the place is not so bad.
But this was last year. Don't know if it's still the same.

Animals packed in like sardines. Undersized aquariums for whales and some other animals.
The public can pay to feed some of the already over fed & bloated animals.
I guess I'm not entertained by the training of Dolphins etc...
A guy scuba diving and handling the animals like toys for entertainment...sad.
The foreign gymnasts were entertaining diving into the pool....
Beautiful location in Hangzhou .... Couldn't get a pass back in once out of the main stadium... Outside playground areas have potential but, run down & need upgrading.
The park train ride is a run down rip off ... All of a 2 minute ride... It has potential this place ... I'm not a fan of the novelty entertainment derived from the animals though... Not a fan of the undersized living areas for some of the animals. Crossing the road to enter the park was dangerous.... Needs to be traffic lights.

This is an amazing happy family tourism with children.Please prepare yr itinerary very well so that you do not miss important activities because of wrong timing.Here you will have the chance to see most of polar animals and polar landscape.İt is very good venue with lots of different attractions organized periodically.So,better to check information board about seasonal activities before making any final tour arrangement.
