No bargaining here and the prices are higher than the Night Market, but if you don't particularly enjoy bargaining and pushing through crowds, this is the place to pick up reasonably priced silks. The yard goods stores feature gorgeous options for seamstresses; other shops offer scarves in every price range (I got many for less than $3 each) and finished goods like board shorts, lingerie, ties, and evening beaded silk jackets.

If you like shopping this is for you.
Pedestrian long street both sides lined with small shops selling silk products and other fabrics, lots of scarves, wraps, lingerie and gifts.
Easy to get taxis and don’t forget the market at the other side of the zebra crossing....quite an experience.

Please expect to haggle on price in both places
Enjoy

loved the silk street - hundreds of little shops selling silk items of every kind. Recommend that you walk through before buying to get an idea of prices/whats for sale. Nice atmosphere. Haggling is the way to go! The shops that sold silk fabric by the metre were lovely, but not very much what I would call traditional chinese fabrics which was a bit dissapointing. Wonderful fabrics though - about 9Euros a metre for gorgous fabric!

We enjoyed our visit and we did bargain for everything . It was raining when we went but everything is under cover so it is the place.to,go where you can spend hours looking on a rainy day . Of course you must have an interest in silk to go there other wise there is not much else around

Practice your price negotiating and have fun! There's three really nice blocks of stores selling all sorts silk crafted items. They vary in quality, but high quality bargains can be found; especially if out of season. Fun to walk around and fun to buy!
