Green Lake Park is a real treat. The locals are there in droves first thing in the morning participating in Tai Chi, dancing, singing, playing instruments, exercising, sitting, and doing other various activities. Many locals are very friendly and encourage your participation, even when you...More

Green Lake was part of our tour and while a low priority it was a very enjoyable stop. We walked through the park on the way encountering a free singing concert - apparently a regular thing as this was mid week, and a traditional dance/exercise...More

When I was there, it was the season of the birds. Many birds were there and form a magnificient view of the park. Many activities were seen at the park. Great place to wind down and relax.

Nothing much special about this place as it is a place where locals like to hang out during summer. It was in the afternoon and as it is a low season we can relax and have a stroll around the landscape.

Great place for a sunny day stroll. Lots of amazing scenery and lots of opportunity to shop. Got to see several cultural dances and songs.

Despite the rain it was a pleasant experience, especially all the group musicians, dancers, park sweepers, landscaping. Liked it a lot good for an hour. Then a drink in a nearby wine bar.

A very nice Park to have a walk. Very well maintain and you can see many locals idling their time away. Very soothing...they have a nice corner for some tea or coffee too. A good break from all the city noises...

We visited on a Sunday afternoon when lots of people were singing and dancing in groups. It is a very pretty lake and we enjoyed strolling around it.

If you're in Kunming then you should definitely visit the Green Lake for a few hours or half a day, walk around, relax, take a few photos. It's worth seeing but I wouldn't say it's a must see.
