I went there with my girlfriend for her birthday to experience the Japanese-style hot springs we were missing. When we arrived, we were greeted by a view of what looked more like a water park. A large pirate ship with slides and families playing in the pools with cameras and taking selfies. The staff didn't speak English but were very helpful and after a long time using translation phone apps, we (kind of) understood what was going on with our money - Entry fee started from about 139RMB each, additionally, they take a 100 RMB deposit. Any food/drink purchases you make are deducted from the amount and you get the remaining amount back when you leave. Also you can buy swimming wear there if you forget to bring it.

I was escorted to the male changing rooms by a staff member who kindly showed me where everything was there, before leaving.

I bypassed the pirate ship, only to get into several themed bathes, in the shape of tea cups, sake cups, and pots. The water was quite warm but not as I expected. Finally, we walked over a bath and into what seems to be the Japanese style area. Here there were a lot of rock hot spring baths. This was more what we were looking for with some VERY sweet bathing salts, which I wasn't expecting. Including white milk bath, and two bright red ones; one strawberry the other rose.
Personally, I would have liked it much better if there were a separate entrance only to the Japanese-style baths, because my image of the place was adversely affected by walking through the family/kids area. However, the baths were quite nice in the end, surrounded by trees. If you are body conscious, ask for a robe, because cameras and phones appear to be permitted in the springs, and you may feel uncomfortable.

First I must say that the review from Stuart M is extremely accurate.

I've been here 3 times now.

The staff doesn't speak English, but are friendly and helpful. The price for what you get, is good. If you pay around 220rmb/person you get the entrance to all their pools and hot springs, a full body scrub treatment and 30 mins footmassage. The price is cheaper if you do not visit during Chinese holidays or if it's off season, or if you do not want the scrub+massage.

The moment you enter is the water park area. It's nice for families. If you're a couple I would suggest go further in to the hot springs with different themes. My favorite was the little pond with lots of doctor fishes.

You can stay overnight, but it's not something I've done. I always take a Chinese Uber back to Kunming, which should cost you about 120rmb.
