Nice to drop by

Stumbled upon this spot while visiting the western hills. Was an interesting museum, commemorating the life of the man credited with composing the Chinese national anthem. Free. If you're in the area it can be a nice rest from the hiking.

Patriotic composer
Sep 2017 • Solo
I chanced upon this place at the entrance of West Hill Park. There was a statue of Nie'er & his tomb. Nearby was also an exhibition hall, with photos and explanation of his life. Apparently he was credited with composing the National anthem & other patriotic songs. 10 to 20 mins is sufficient to get a glimpse of the life of this composer.

More for local Chinese tourists
Aug 2013 • Couples
I feel that this attraction seems to be more tailored for local Chinese citizens who grew up hearing about the composer of their national anthem. There's quite a bit of the usual propoganda which thankfully isn't too heavy-handed. For foreign tourists, you may be a bit bored - 5 minutes is the most you would be here.
