I realllyyy enjoying my time in this place! There are so many beautiful flowers here. OMG I spent 4.5 hours here. This place is so big. Beside flowers, you can see the miniatures of Chinese natural beauty such as Black Stone and Yellow Stone. In the middle of the park, you can find the food corner. There are many kinds... More

This place is where they held the 1999 World Hortico Expo. It covers a huge area and you need at least fours to see it all. The most impressive area is the Chinese outdoor exhibition. There are streets showcasing various counties of China. The gardens and pavilions are amazing and so well kept. The international sites are disappointing as they... More

This is one of the better places to visit in kunming, a selection of gardens from around the world. Rumors has it that even Queen Lizzie herself visited the place while in China. At a loss to understand why they named it the world expo center! On the negative side it's not the cheapest experience and be sure to bring... More

The flowers are only half the fun. The expo contains architecture from around Asia and locals who regularly exercise and fly kites in the park. A little pricy...but nicy. The cable cars to the top of Feng Huang mountain is a must. You can visit the Golden Temple and get a panoramic view of Kunming.

If you don't like eating left over's in a restaurant, you might not like this garden neither. The site probably hosted a massive hori-expo...back in 1999. It is not much effort is put into maintaining the site in the last 15 years. The only exhibit that I liked would be the Chinese bonsai garden. There were gardens from many countries... More

Aging horticultural park with run-down country pavilions (except the China provinces, of course), but still a nice walk, and a very interesting stone lottery where people buy your average Joe rock hoping to find treasures inside (jade) some rocks go as high as 400,000 USD.

This place was really a disappointment. The entrance fee is now incredibly high considering that this is now little more than an ageing and run-down garden.

There is a lot to see and parts of it are very impressive but it needs to be better maintained. We visited in the winter during cold weather when few of the flowering plants were looking at their best. It may be unfair to judge the Expo from this visit. It was very interesting but Kunming has other sites that... More

I come here about once a year and always enjoy the flowers. It's a popular place for weddings, and I was attending the wedding of a local friend. Came early so I could walk around and see some of my favorite exhibits again. Easy to get to by public bus from different parts of the city. Admission is expensive, but... More
