Pre-requisite: Average proficiency in Mandarin.
Highly recommended for an evening of laughs and cultural immersion.
It's a locals only hangout and the place is fully booked on weekends. Trying calling in advance to secure tickets.
The 相声 routine rotated through a few pairs of performers (yes 相声 is only performed between a pair of performers that is why it's called 'crosstalking'.) and they range from good to very good. Some of the jokes have a local context but 90% of the jokes could be appreciated by somebody that is out of town or out of the country.
The price of admission includes tea and some snacks. They serve some small tapas dishes as well.
