Iti is a very big mall. Good to come here for a browse of both Chinese goods & also international brands. However, prices seems to be on the high side, thus it is probably aiming at certain market. Some food choices are available as well, and prices are reasonable.

A very large mall in the centre of Xian, typically a lot of Western clothes and goods, so restaurants including McDonalds for a coffee, just a shopping mall.

This is quite a big shopping mall in the centre of Xian. At first it doesnt really look like a shopping mall but more a big building with lots of small shops on the outside but as you walk in, you notice that there are several shops inside. The layout is messy, I didnt really see if it is one big shop with several small different departments or if it is small shops inside a big building. There are no signs and no real middle and you can easily get lost. Then there is the cost factor. Bring the BIG wallet, things are not cheap in here. It is cheaper anywhere else outside of China. An Adidas plain t-shirt for $85! Everything is twice the cost it would be in a speciality store in Australia and you would save on luggage and carrying and pay taxes in your own country. Just think of the maximum cost you would pay at home and add about +50% It is not cheap and no bartering here. We did get one item as we didnt think we would get that back in Australia and when we went to pay, you have to go to a central register and nobody speaks English. We tried to pay with AMex but they just shook their heads (even though they had a card swipe there), then we tried Mastercard and same thing and they kept pointing to the exit and one of the staff members started getting angry and aggressive, pulling the item out of our hands and yelling in Chinese. In the end we just scraped together what cash we had, paid and left. We did find a staff member in another shop and he spoke a little bit of English and we asked if we could pay by card and he managed to explain that if you want to pay with any card but Visa you need to go to the ground floor to a central paying station. This is a huge shopping centre in central Xian and you cant pay except at one place? It is just bad, it is meant for tourists but no one can speak to you. They cant help you, there are no signs, no floor maps and almost impossible to pay.The entire mall seems to be designed on how they think a mall should be, as if they never visited one personally an know what they look like. Really weird and the prices are just outrageous. I would just stay away, save your money and shop at home.…
