If planning to visit both Drum tower and Bell tower, don't missout on the combo ticket, saves you 20RMB. Along all sides of the Drum tower there drums on display. Inside on the first floor they show off more drums but also performs some "concerts"....More

The tower is good looking. Go there by night. It's nicely illuminated. Subway station is just around. Makes sense to have a look at both Bell and Drum Towers and continue to Muslim Quarter.

Where ever you are staying in Xi’an, it is worth walking to the Drum, or Clock tower at night. It is lit up in spectacular fashion and a lot seems to happen around it at night. A Great night time photo opportunity.

didnt go into this bulding, just sat across road and was mesmerised by the building of this like sitting in the middle of what sounded like daytona race track..absolutley fantastic

It is one thing to see the tower in the day time but at night it looks so great against the night sky all bright and colourful.

The drum tower was build in 1380 during the Ming dynasty. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower are at a difference of 200 meters. If the Bell Tower was striken at dawn the Drum Tower was beaten in the evening and night to signal time...More
