Beautigul park

Lovely park. There is a large lake where you can rent a boat and ride along the river by yourself. A very peaceful place to let it all go. The park is very clean and modern. And... read more

My local tour guide informed us that Qujiangchi area was the luxury property area in Xi'an. Nice new apartments combined with modern and traditional architecture. Great walk in the afternoon. We went to a restaurant called small white shark have a private room. Expensive price food was alright ! Enjoy the relaxing life style of a Xian local!

If you want a trip back into the mists of Chinese history or Tang lore, this is not the place to come. This is part of a massive investment by the local government, some £200m in fact, in creating a new place for the bright young, and old, and canine things (though officially banned) to come and see and be... Lovely park. There is a large lake where you can rent a boat and ride along the river by yourself. A very peaceful place to let it all go. The park is very clean and modern. Big park popular with locals. Has a lake where you can rent boats. Beautiful palace buildings now used as restaurants. Good selection of local foods. Also nice stone bridges to walk and enjoy the natural scenery.

We went to the park on a weekend and hundreds of people were there doing a variety of activities. Some had music and were dancing, there were many groups playing cards plus a impromptu choir who sang Waltzing Mathilda for us and allowed us to join in with them

The park itself is reasonably pleasant (not spectacular), but it takes a bit of time to get there with the city's not-so-great traffic. The numerous tall buildings nearby somewhat detract from the overall enjoyment of the park. It is enjoyable enough to take a stroll in the park if you have the time to spend.
