In July this year during a holday to Xi'an I was fortunate to be able to visit
the Qinling Underground Palace in Xi'an as part of a day tour organised through reception at my hotel. The total cost of the day tour is 350CNY which includes a
nice lunch and visits to several other great tourist attractions including the Terracotta Warriors.
As you enter the building you ascend and decend a staircase to see a real array of minature
reproductions of Ancient Chinese settlements. Also there are various diaramas on display depicting historic events in Chinese history such as the building of the Emperors
tomb. The artwork in the exhibits is great and gives you a real insight into what life
was life during various dynasties especially slaves, more than 700000 of them were forced to work constructing the Emperor Qinshihuang's tomb.Unfortunately many of the exhibits are replicas of originaL
artefacts, which is a disappointment but in saying that the Exhibition Hall is historically interesting and well worth a visit! Andrew

Coinsidently we visited that place, because our driver made a mistake. We wanted to see the tomb of Qin Er Shi not the fake replica of the first Qin emperor...
So we thought ok, 65RMB for that tomb is good, we paid and boom, surprise: we found that.
First you go in the 2nd floor, they have around 16 scenes with dolls and paintings behind about the time, when the first Qin emperor build his tomb, the great wall and the slavery of the 700000 people. In the middle they have a big model of the tomb and the area around
In the 1st floor they tried to build something what should show the current understandung of the inside of his tomb but it's totally weird.
Not worth the money and time. Do something else!

This is just a model of the real tomb of the Emperor Qi. No signs in English and too many steps to go up and down can put the international tourists off. It does not look very authentic either. I went as part of my organised day trip, which was interesting and enjoyable overall.

I visited this as part of a group today after visiting the Terracotta Warriors. What a disappointment. It's like a school art project depicting how the tomb might have looked. Don't waste your time and yuan on this one. The car park was devoid of tourist buses.....and it was only after experiencing this that I worked out why.

Creepy reconstruction of what tomb probably looks like inside. Just a weird, creepy dollhouse. Skip it and go straight to the Warriors - nothing to see here.

Only a model of what to expect to see in the real tomb of Yingzhen (Emperor Qi), and a bit of history how the tomb was build. Unfortunately no english guide but english pamphlet available. Not a must see site but was part of package and still interesting.
Imagine the real tomb is 30 times larger is just extraordinary.

Just a fake chamber to cheat those who don't know it's a fake....It's not a real historical relic, just a imagination of the chamber of Qin Shi Huang ! Do not go there please !
我只能說這是個宰人的地方,位於兵馬俑附近,還真讓人以為真的挖到秦皇帝功了,被騙進去花了20,搞半天只是個想像的,要吹冷氣的話就盡量進去吧,那還挺涼的。

stopped here as part of out tour. It's a replica of what Emperor Qins tomb is thought to look at. No English signs.. lucky wife is Chinese. Gives history of tomb being built . I enjoyed it overall. The inner tomb was neat. The rivers of mercury and stars on the ceiling is cool. Not a must see-but if you do go, it's good to go before going to the real tomb mound

Everything on this exhibition is a copy of what is supposed to be the interior of Emperor Qin tomb.
