Wendy is a great tour guide! We only did one day with her but it was really good. She's really knowledgeable, friendly and organized. She is so helpful - right off the bat, she suggested a good itinerary, even went above and beyond helping us to book tickets and transportation for a show, and arranging for the driver to help us pick up our tickets, even though it wasn't part of the tour.

We went to the Terracotta Warriors together, and she really knows her history. We learned a lot walking around with her. She's so personable and has such a lot of good recommendations, including bringing us to a delicious noodle house for lunch...a bowl of noodle (yes, just one noodle!) as tall as you! My kids loved that!

If you're going around Xian, I would definitely look up Wendy to help with your planning and touring.

We were tight for time in Xian, unfortunately, so we booked a customized tour, and we couldn't have done better! Maggie and our driver picked us up at our hotel in a spotlessly clean, roomy car - even outfitted with wifi! Maggie is an incredibly experienced, knowledgeable guide and speaks flawless English. The Terracotta Warriors are about an hour out of town, but our tour started well before we arrived with Maggie talking with us and answering our questions about Xian along the way. Once there, Maggie guided us through all the various buildings at the Warriors site. We were there without teenage children, and she was very adept at keeping everyone engaged and interested. She also allowed us some free time to explore on our own, and then took us to a wonderful tea house and restaurant for lunch, making excellent recommendations for what to eat. Overall - best tour we had on our trip!

We toured with Wendy in early August and had an extraordinary experience. Our drive to Lintong where the Terracotta Warriors and museum is located was enjoyable and comfortable. We found our conversations with Wendy to be informative and fun. Once we arrived at the location, she quickly moved us through the throngs of people and within minutes, we were looking at the amazing Terracotta Warriors site.

Wendy took us to the best vantage points, took my family's picture at multiple places, answered all of our questions and made our visit there one we will never forget. She patiently waited as we marveled at all there was to see, walking us from building to building. It is an amazing place and we were so happy to be there with Wendy.

Following our visit to the warriors, we went to a restaurant where, despite there being lots of tourists, we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Wendy helped us order based on our tastes and the entire experience was so fun! The noodles of Xi'an are not to be missed. Even the post-meal, prepared presentation on different types of teas was informative.

On our way back to Xi'an, we mentioned to Wendy that we were in need of a few items for use during our trip. Wendy personally ensured that we were able to get everything we needed. We were so thankful for her assistance, which made our travels in a foreign company go more smoothly.

Finally, Wendy was extremely flexible with us. Once we arrived in Xi'an, we contacted her to shift our tour schedule around due to rain in the forecast. She responded to us immediately and made some changes to her own schedule to accommodate us. She is a top-notch, customer-first guide and made our day together extremely enjoyable.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable guide who will make your day visiting the Terracotta Warriors and Xi'an memorable, Wendy is the one!

Doris organized this tour perfectly. She contacted the front desk of our hotel the day before the tour in order to provide all the information about the departure. She is really kind and was extremely knowledgeable. She also recommended us a good restaurant just outside the terracotta warriors site and waited for us. Well done Doris!

Becky did an excellent job! She was knowledgeable about the history, but also knew many interesting facts. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun 🙂. I purposely chose the morning tour to avoid the hot day. There was plenty of shade and opportunity to drink. And also multiple bathrooms along the way. I would highly recommend this half day tour, if you don’t have much time to sightsee in Xi’an!!!

More than positive experience, thanks to Wendy, who was aN attentive AND capable GUIDE. She is passionate, GOES INTO DETAILS.
DURING the visit to the terracotta army MUSEUM of Xi'an, Wendy went further: she managed to give us an hour of pure entertainment, advising us on the vision of the Show, on the fictional story of the origins of the famous "path of the sect" (Tuo Ling Legend ), and not only that, with HER suggestions, SHE made our three-day stay (9/4/23 to 12/4/23) in the spectacular city of Xi'an truly magnificent, so to say thank you, is still little. Wendy is an excellent guide for this experience. She gave us clear and detailed communication in planning the trip; a pickup service from the train station; found a lovely lunch stop for some Xi’an specialties; and is a wealth of knowledge about Shaanxi and Chinese history. The tour of the terracotta warriors was just the right length with plenty of time to observe the dig sites and take photos. Be prepared for the busy crowds - it is part of life in China - but we had time to view and enjoy the amazing history and Wendy is a font of information. Her spoken English is outstandingly good. We chose not to include the Tang dynasty show and were delivered to our hotel, then spent the evening experimenting with some street food in the old city.

We booked a guided tour of the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an with this company. Our tour guide was Becky and she was absolutely amazing! She was lovely, professional, friendly, very informative and helpful. Her knowledge of history and the area was most impressive. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off as well. Driver was very friendly and professional and drove safely. If we had gone by ourselves, we would not have gotten the same experience out of it. We highly recommend.

Wendy was fantastic. She had so much knowledge about everything on the way to the warriors she answered lots of questions and shared so much history with us not just about the warriors but about Xian. On top of this she customized everything for us and helped organize our next tour (food tour) as she knew the guide and could rearrange things for us so it was more convenient. She took us to a great local restaurant for lunch and helped order some local dishes we had a great day also took in the wild goose pagoda which was so interesting because of the information she shared with us. The whole trip was so much better than if we had tried to do on our own just because of all the knowledge Wendy shared with us. It was well worth it and Wendy made the difference.

Wendy is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable.

She communicated with us before the trip to be sure we were prepared and then took her time explaining the history of each attraction.

We stopped and had a delicious lunch.

Overall, Wendy is a wonderful guide and we highly recommend her when visiting Xi'an!
