Fun shopping & street food sampling
Nov 2020
We had a fun and interesting time shopping and tasting some of the Shaanxi street foods in this ancient China type market area. It is helpful to have WeChat Pay. I was originally hesitant to use it, but now find it to be a very convenient and safe way of paying.

Visit at night time!
Sep 2019
This area really comes to life after dark. The lighting spectacular! Local street artists providing entertainment and lots of different food stall to choose from. Visually, a feast for the eyes!

A very touristy market area
Jul 2019 • Couples
Although a sign at the entrance says that the area is open until 1 a.m., you really need to get there hours before that if you plan on eating at any of the restaurants tucked away in its alleys. My wife and I arrived at 9 p.m. the other night hoping for a tasty meal. We went through five restaurants before finding one that had any food left, and they only had but one noodle dish left from their menu.
Some of the street snacks look good, but the other vendors mostly offer very touristy products at tourist prices.

Great market with a wide variety of delicious food options!! FYI everyone in China uses an app on their phone to buy food and these food stalls don’t accept cash or card so stop by a booth at the front of the market to put money on a card the stalls will accept! Worth it! Fun & delicious 🍜

Exciting little street/food market
Jun 2019 • Friends
Lots of restaurants & stalls selling things on sticks & one off treats. We had dinner here for a fiver a head - but would have been happy with options from traders
It’s new build but very picture postcard Chinese
Good fun - and performances from singers / musicians on stage were a treat

Street food in clean and atmospheric setting
Jun 2019 • Family
Great place to try street food if you’re concerned about eating street food. It’s a newly built area in traditional style, so maybe it doesn’t feel as genuine as it feels like an outdoor cultural museum. Offers street food from a good variety of vendors and some tourist knick-knacks.
We had a great time here on our first evening when we didn’t want to venture too far from the hotel. It was a lot of people but not more than us managing to navigate with a stroller.
Some comments here have been about the payment system, which we thought worked very well. Just top up a card with any amounts at one of the booths, and cash out the money you don’t need when you leave.

Not very convenient to buy the food
Apr 2019 • Business
It is a very good place to try the Shaanxi local food, however they don’t accept cash, which means you need either to pay by a card purchased by the entrance or WeChat Pay. So we got nothing to eat, just made a sightseeing.

An Easy Walk From Our Hotel.
Apr 2019 • Couples
The Yongxing Fang is essentially next to a portion of the city wall. I liked the architecture of the buildings, the garden areas, and all the little restaurants. It was crowded, but it seems to me everywhere in China is crowded. I did enjoy observing how the locals relax.

Night Street (夜市)
Nov 2018 • Solo
This place is what we call as a Night Street 夜市, selling local food and tourist souvenirs. Very crowded. The scale of this night street is considered small, hence you won't take long to finish walking through the area.

Get to try delicious food at a reasonable price. You can try different food. You either pay with WeChat or you get a card from the entry booth.
