Nice place for quick pics
Dec 2020
Visted during a morning walk... There's a large underground shopping center- selling mostly clothing.

Nice Square with underground shopping
Jun 2019
Nice central square where the waterfall at the Waterfall hotel can be viewed each evening at 8.30 pm for 10 minutes. The two glass pyramids on the square have stairs leading to a shopping mall. This area is almost an underground market selling mainly clothes, shoes and luggage.

Exciting place to walk around
Dec 2017
The Guilin Central Square was within walking distance from our hotel (Sheraton). We enjoyed walking around and there was some kind of a cultural show going on in the evening.

Beautiful flowers
Jul 2016
Beautiful, clean and full of flowers. I loved the beautiful cleanliness of this square, like an oases in the middle of the concrete jungle.

Impressive
May 2017 • Couples
We visited this square as part of our exploration of the city. For sheer size, it is most impressive. There is a map of (we think) Guangxi province - it is difficult to see since you can't get up high enough (need a drone!).

It is a major contrast with the nearby walkways around the Banyan and Cedar lakes.

This is a massive concrete and marble square
May 2017 • Family
This is a massive square which perhaps looks better at night. There are some attractions for kids and a map of the world on the floor.
There is a stage where apparently are performances on Saturday night.
Not worth an extra visit unless you are passing by.

Down Town meets Up Town here
Apr 2017 • Friends
Central square, the place where you can walk, of course, view the Waterfall Hotel waterfall, every evening, which is wet ;) not really, but it's cool. You can easily find yourself shopping, since the square is situated near the shops and shopping centres as well as the walk-street, which is another street for shoppers, hence, walk the street!

A taste of modernity in rural China.
Mar 2017
A popular tourist attraction among Chinese visitors from the north, as well as Hong Kong, Guilin's resort area provides good fresh air, a slower pace and welcoming atmosphere for older tourists throughout the year.

Cock street - Bells street
Nov 2016 • Solo
At the six horse bridge and the endless rows of clocks with time around the world. But time is not correct. At the other side you have the bells. Its nice and its free.

Visit at night
Sep 2016 • Couples
Popular spot with locals waiting for the Lijiang waterfall or strolling after. Hawkers selling whirly gigs which light up when you shoot them into the sky and various other cheap kids toys. Not a must see, but another great spot for people watching.
