Here we are, after several years of desire, our dream to visit China fullfiled in an extraordinary experience, due to China Expedition Tours, especially to our outstanding new friend Chanel Tang and superguide Alex Guan in Guilin and all the others guides and drivers from our trip.
Besides the wellknown atractions like: Beijing with The Great Wall, The Forbidden City , The Summer Palace, Xian with The Terracotta Army and Shanghai with Moon Festival, shoppping, even the typhoon - we discovered the authentic and incredible China in Guilin - Yangshuo area.
From the River Li Cruise surrounded by beautiful green mountains to the traditional mountain villages, from endless rice fields to tea plantations and lotus ponds. Also not far away is the Huangshan Mountain, acclaimed by poets and painters and the vivid Hongcun - historical village from ancient dinasties, now tourist village. All of these are listed in the Unesco World Heritage.
And above all, the hotels accomodation was very well chosen - like in some locations we wanted to stay longer. We had culinary experiencies: Pekin duck, hotpot, dumplings dinner and durian. We enjoyed splendid music and dance shows: music and dance Opera Xi'an, traditional Longsheng women show, Impression Sanjie Liu show. And of course thousands of photos and footsteps.
Once again , thank you Chanel💓, Alex , David for taking care of us.

This is one of our best travel experiences! After knowing Guilin is one of the most popular destinations for the international traveling, we were looking for the best opportunity to see the landscape there and we were so happy to find Alex and his team, China Expedition Tours. Alex was really knowledgeable and made our tour In Guilin and Yangshuo area so unforgettable. It's always the best to see lots of local culture when you travel, and the local food there was so good. Thanks again to Alex and his team China Expedition Tours for the high quality of the hospitality and unique trip design. We would definitely recommend our friends taking their China expeditions with China Expedition Tours in the future.

We have carried on a correspondence with our agent Chanel Tang for six months, planning our trip to China. From only the vaguest of ideas about our visit, Chanel has helped us craft a trip that we very much look forward to. We will visit Beinjing, Xi'an, Guilin (and surrounding areas), and Shanghai.
We can say that Chanel Tang has done a wonderful, outstanding job. She answered all our questions and guided us all along the way. One cannot do better than what she had done for us.

Chanel was great to work with. From the onset she listened to us and understood our wants and concerns. We wanted to see the things China is commonly known for, plus a couple of other lesser known places. She took care of all of it. The hotels were better than expected and their locations were thoughtfully chosen

The trip organized by China Expedition was spectacular for the organization and the places they proposed (Shangai, Guilin, Snangri-la. The guides were very knowledgeable and helped us understand a civilization that has thousands of years of history. Accommodations in small, high-quality local hotels was amazing. The visit to Shanghai showed us a huge city, masterfully managed and cared for. As soon as possible we will return to visit Beijing and northern China.

After 5 years of living and travelling in China I finally feel I am seeing real China. As a photographer, I constantly encounter a well rehearsed thin polished veneer of tourist China. After searching far and wide to find someone I could work with on my photography needs, I encountered Alex Guan at CET. Down to earth and experienced, Alex knew immediately what I needed and designed a detailed solo photo tour for me. Clear and detailed with cost transparency, it was a no brainer. I toured Guilin, Yangshuo and surrounds for 6 days and 5 night.
Usually I like freedom to explore and discover, but it was a nice change and I noticed I took a great deal more photos because the unique opportunities that were put in front of me. Not just the usual posed locations with a million others, we were up before the sun and in-front of absolute splendour. We walked and met locals, discussed real life and invited to see and do things not on any tourist trap tours list. In short it was a dream come true.
Highlights were talking with the oldest cormorant fisherman at his home about how things had changed and taking portraits, sunrise over the Li river, Ping'an rice terrace hikes, off the beaten track discovering ancient stone ruins not yet ruined with bus carparks. Accomodation and food was excellent, driving between location and service overall was the best Ive experienced. Price was acceptable but the value I received was again better than anywhere in China before. I was in the right places at the right times for photography, I did not need for anything, I got more than I expected and I am booking my Yunnan trip later this week with them. In one word, "authentic" finally.

The paradise you don't want to miss! Alex, I envy you! you live in this beautiful place! and everyone comes here would be so relaxed and happy! Alex has made us feel safe, relaxed, and truly enjoyed the China tour! Alex has great communication skills, fun to talk to, full of knowledge, stories to tell! A fantastic experience visiting China. I usually use local travel agencies when travelling abroad, because their local knowledge Are superior. China Expedition Tours was a fantastic experience the whole way. Friendly, on top Of the whole trip and flexible for diverting from the plan was exeptional. I highly recommend their kind service!

We had the best time ever in Yang shuo and Guiling. All thanks to Alex Guan! He is so professional, kind, sense of humour, looked after me and my family so well! I'm planning to take groups of my friend and students to China soon, and hoping to let them have a great experience like I did.
