The view was very fabulous and the rock formation was very clear. Beside there can see one baby elephant having a drink in the river.

Entering the grounds to see a closer peek is not worth the entrance fee. It's just a touristy thing to generate revenues.

Elephant Trunk Hill is a famous rock formation in Guilin that requires a bit of imagination to see it as an elephant rather than a natural arch. However, there are cute elephant statues at the shoreline across the way. You can walk across the Elephant Bridge, again replete with elephant statues, to get to Love Island. This is covered with... It was kind of an interesting rock formation, but 5 minutes was enough for us ... not worth the bus ride there. There were some modern romantic statues on an island that would have been more fun to see, but we didn't find them early enough and ran out of time.

Not the prettiest of arches I've seen, but a neat one to see if you have some extra time in between buses. The park entrance fee was overpriced, so I got a view from a surrounding building. The main reason I was in guilin was to catch a bus to yangshuo.

The area is nice, but very touristic and expensive. You can see the Elephant Trunk Hill from the bridge, outside the tourist attraction for free.

Quite probably you are visiting Guilin primarily for the Li River cruise, which is really nice. Since you would already be in Guilin, visit the Elephant Trunk Park if you have the time and have nothing better to do. It is nothing very spectacular. Nor, for that matter, is the Seven Star Park .......it is just that - a park.... More
