The best view of Lijiang is in the spring. With small rain and fog, the view is picturesque, incredible.

The Lijiang Folk Customs Garden is right along the Li River and the place offers some really nice photos of the magnificent mountains.

We used taxi service which is relatively inexpensive and gets you to location without crowds and unknown language. A peaceful look at China's southern hospitality with beautiful scenery. Prepare your cameras for many scenes worth remembering.

I believe not, also couldn't see any trail along the river and anyone making trekking.

you might be seeing the rafts in Yangshuo, a town close to Guilin but not the same city.
