New shopping mall with many restaurants
May 2019 • Family
This is a new shopping mall right next to Shamian Island. The shops are a bit underwhelming but the dining options are pretty good. Expect a long queue for EVERY restaurant during mealtime.

Metropolitan plaza sits on top of Huangsha metro station is now fully operating with many restaurants and shops. such as starbucks, pizza hut, 家樂富,翠華, Tours les jours, breadtalk, xiaomi, adidas, nike, and a huge supermarket on level 3. overall, nice & new mall if you staying near 上下九。

How do people afford this?
Mar 2016 • Couples
I know I visited whilst being a budget traveller but the prices in this plaza are outrageously expensive. We were having a look to buy some shorts and they were more money that we'd pay in London. Not budget friendly but good I suppose if you're a luxury traveller

New Mall still under construction
Feb 2015 • Solo
The Huangsha metro stop exits into this very new, 4 storey shopping mall and many retail stores are still under construction here. This glitzy mall boasts international brands and has beautiful interiors. There are also many fast food places and restaurants on lower levels.

Residential high rise buildings sit above the mall. This is very typical of construction in China. The outside area is very spacious and is next to a major street which feeds into a freeway. If you walk up stairs and over a ramp to cross the busy street, you enter onto Shamian Island, a beautiful, historic site from colonial times.
