The Pearl River InPub International Beer museum of sorts is located along the Pearl River and was a nice box to check. You really cannot miss seeing this place as the facade is quite colourful. Inside you will find interesting information on beer. A nice place for an outing.

This museum, established in 2008, was a joint collaboration by Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery Co., Ltd. and Belgian InBev S.A. it is located within the factory area of Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery Co., Ltd. The 3-storey museum building covers area of 10,000 sqm. Always open: Mon-Fri 0830 - 1200, 1300-1700, Sat & Sun 0830 - 1700.

It is adjacent to Pazhou International Convention & Exhibition Center on the east, Canton Tower on the west. Visitors can take a tram ride from Canton Tower station to Pier Party station (one way fare: RMB2 per person). From Pier Party station, visitors shall walk through many restaurants and pubs before reaching the beer museum.

The tour shall start from Ground floor with viewing of a documentary program in a theatre. Museum exhibits are displayed at 2nd and 3rd floors. The tour ends with free beer at the beerpub at Ground floor. This museum systematically introduced beer history, brewing processes, related education and art.

A good educational tour for children and adults.

Certainly the worst beer museum I have ever visited. Not much to see, some old (1980's) equipment, some beer posters and photos of people involved in the expansion of the brewery over the past 30 years or so. We got there at 3:45, saw the museum in 15 minutes and then headed to the bar where we were given a jug of warm lager and two glasses. Apart from us two no-one else was in the place. And they charged us 50Y. If you went with a bunch of people and got there early maybe OK (that is if you can drink as much as you like until 5PM). The beer was pretty ordinary. Nothing like the Qingdao beer museum (that was great!)

Unlimited beer until closing what more could you want from a beer museum?

If you do want more - the exhibits are quite dry and yeah you will probably be around it in 15 minutes, but there is a little added bonus of being able to walk across into the bottling plant for the beer manufacturing facility next door and have a nosey from the viewing platform. Something a little different. Can't say I've been in many China manufacturing plants before.

When you finish you can enjoy unlimited beer in the bar/club room on site. Bit of a strange place to sit (basically an unoccupied club) but it is a laugh with a group of friends and the staff were really helpful to us even letting us say a bit longer due to a late arrival so we could get our monies worth.

Very nice little information/ historic centre about beer and the brewery associated with this place. The best part was the tasting part which I decided to do after my visit. There were two kegs. One with a raw beer and the other a yellow beer. Both tasted very good. You can refill your glasses as you please. Someone actually came chatting with me in English which was a real bonus.

I've lived in China for 18 months and never heard of Zhujiang Brewery. Thanks to this museum, now I have, so job well done for having a facility to promote your brand. Unfortunately, the contents are rather amateurish and could use a serious redesign. I couldn't help compare this to the much better done Sapporo Beer Museum in Sapporo, Japan, which I visited less than four months ago. Best thing about this museum is the free beer, though on my visit this included only two types of beer, both tasting much the same. No cool brewery souvenirs on sale, only cheap stuff like key-chains and pencils. Where are the label t-shirts, coasters, glasses and steins? You could be making money!

Not too impressive outside but its inside that counts. Great job highlighting China's beer history. If your into beer its worth a visit. Displays were interesting and you get to drink newly brewed beer at the end seemingly as much as you want.

1st day tour after lunch was a visit to China Beer Museum in Guangzhou.
Surrounded by green trees, the museum is a modern architecture complex with three floors. The first floor is featured with a large bronze pot. Also you will see a statue of an ancient wagon and a large relief here. The second floor is where the main exhibition hall locates. There tourists can learn about the art of brewing through interactive games and exhibits. Also the displays there help tourists to learn about the history of brewing. Free Zhujiang Beer samples and a large variety of snacks are provided in the leisure bar inside the museum.
