Well if you are around Zhongshan Street then you can't really miss seeing this multi-storied building, which seems to be extremely popular with the locals. Lots of floors of stores. Not exactly a high end mall, but i'm sure you will find something useful. Lots of kids activity places here as well.

If you don't have time/patience to trawl through all those open-air stalls in Guangzhou for your iphone/ipad accessories, and other electronics accessories, head straight to China Plaza (go straight to the 4th floor) and you will see a myraid of shops within this mall having widest ever range of accessories. It is SO competitive.

Some of these accessories are pretty commoditized. You see them everywhere in China, except that, the same item may cost 4 or 5 times more at the onset. After sniffing around, you know immediately which shop will try to rip you off. At China Plaza, you can do all your benchmarking among the shops here, in air-conditioned comfort and well-laid out shops. After which, you make the final decision which shop you want to zero in and make that bulk purchase. If you are going with friends, please please, aggregate your purchases for better prices.

Finally, never show your interest and never buy at first instance. Do NOT give in. We have instances of prices quoted to us at CNY230 and we end up paying CNY80!!

For the bored husbands/boyfriends/non-shoppers, go to Fruity Mix on the 1st floor and order your refreshing fruity milkshare or yoghurt. I had Hawthorn Yoghurt which I know I can never get it at home. So awesome. And there is free WIFI.

Metro: Line 1, Martyr's Park station. Follow signages to China Plaza via the underground (warning....you may get distracted by the myraid of shops!!)

Have to agree with all the other reviewers. Changed some money 500m away in Bank of China, strolled to store and spent all day shopping. Extremely friendly, no pressure selling, branded and non-branded labels, actually a joy to spend money which isn't normally the case. Had lunch, coffee and bought some bargains.

I quite enjoyed this mall as it has international and local things to buy. Has a massive cellphone area on the 4th floor! This mall has small stalls with different local items on sale, mostly clothes and bags. China Plaza is a good alternative to the shopping streets.

China Plaza is a multi-purpose shopping mall with about 8 floors, with each floor hosting related functions. We visited the 4th floor (The China Digital world) with a number of stores selling original Mobile phone brands, and other electronic products. These included Samsung, Nokia, HTC, and others. The Plaza hosts Jusco and other large clothing store on the 3rd floor, and a assorted restaurants on the 7th floor.
The Plaza sits on Lie Shi Ling Yuan station (Martyrs Park) on Metro Line 1. Just across the street can be found many small stores selling and repairing mobile phones.

A typical multi floored shopping plaza with Starbucks on the lower ground floor. There are a series of Fashion Streets, which are aisles of small fashionable shops. This is in addition to brand names in plenty and major sporting names - Adidas, Nike, Puma. Some very over priced shops in comparison with the huge wholesale markets in GZ.

One can access China plaza by getting down on Martyrs Plaza Metro Stop, Line one of metro goes there. Once you get out of metro you will enter into Update Mall A basement shopping plaza with some branded Giordano and Unbranded shops but it's a nice place to shop, cheap to medium prices, follow the signs for China plaza in underground Update Mall and you will reach there.
China plaza is also a market with Branded and un branded shops. But it's a nice place compared to other pricey Malls in Guangzhou.

Typical large mall, where prices are much higher. Some good food is available, but for clothes, the wholesale markets are still the go
