Absolutely love it
Oct 2019
Love going there. Liwan Park is beautiful, with locals practicing tai chi, singing and performing Cantonese opera, and the canalside is very pretty. The shops along it are a bit hit and miss but some offer quite unusual snacks worth trying and there's Pacific Coffee right opposite so once can take a rest (if you don't fancy eating/drinking local stuff). Just down the road from it is an ancestral hall and a lovely tiny ice cream parlour (perhaps the oldest one in GZ?)I would highly recommend.

Nice lunch in the scenic area
Nov 2019 • Couples
We took the hop on off bus blue line and the bus stop was 100 ft from the entrance of the park. We had a brunch in the courtyard of an authentic dim sum restaurant “Liyan”; very reasonable and nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the stroll in the park; very pleasant and relaxing.

Park for relaxing with a bit of history

If you are looking for this place on the map in Google Maps it is Xiguan Antique city in Liean Lake Park. Very nice stroll alongside the lake with bridges and many lanterns. Very close to this park is an area with tiny and narrow streets where you can see the house of Bruce Lee!!!

Very touristy

The walk through was okay, but unluckily, it was raining lightly. The lake or bay is nice, but not overly beautiful. We stopped at one of the restaurants on the shore and had a Chines afternoon tea type lunch.

We found this scenic area when we were looking for Bruce Lee's home. A cool spot for a stroll and to seek out local stalls

quaint neighborhood
Apr 2019 • Friends
I came to this area for breakfast , there are many 老字号 restaurants here and I love everyone of them ! the area feels like a mini Chinese garden. The morning was very vibrant. On the way , I passed by small lanes with makeshift markets, many quaint breakfast shops, people exercising in the park, I believe there is a temple too with so many worshippers. (maybe it was QingMing ) . Would love to come back in the evening 1 day to check it out too

A lovely park for a stroll after business lunch.

Do look out for the submerged dragon boats with their ghostly silhouette. The boats are submerged to better preserved the wood that they were made from.

Nothing special
Mar 2019 • Family
It’s a nice lake, with lots of locals here going about their various activities such as singing, playing chess, exercising, boating, etc. As you slowly walk, you will also pick up several nice angles for photography but it’s a park and you expects these things. Won’t recommend spending more than an hour here.

We spent the day walking around. Watching all the activity in the park. It was wonderful. We walked along the canal all the way back to our hotel the Holiday Inn Shifu.
