During my early February 2019 visit, over 80% of the shops were closed for Spring Festival. Many of the sales booth areas have been vacated, likely due to the increasing numbers buying electronic goods and parts online. I still like wandering through the area, looking at the goods being offered, and on most visits, I purchase something at a fairly good price. The goos sold primarily consist of computers, smart phones, cameras, and related parts.

Computer street/area is comprised of computer shopping malls including Tianhe Computer Mall, Buynow Computer Mall, Pacific Digital Plaza, Guangzhou Computer Mall, and EGO Digital Plaza, and a host of small retailers.
If you need a computer, any computer parts or accessories, or a mobile phone, it is highly likely you can find it in this market. However not all the replacement parts are OEM, and some might last less than a day. Of the items, I’ve purchased, about 5% disappointed me, with one laptop replacement battery lasting only a day. Fortunately, whenever I’ve had a part failure, the vendor has always replaced it.
Over the years, the merchandise being offered has change with market demand. Today there is less space devoted to computers than there was ten years ago, and more devoted to mobile phones and security cameras.
To get there by Guangzhou metro/subway, take Line 3 to Gangding Metro Station. From there take Exit C.
I have attached about 160 photos which show many of the goods available in this marketplace.

Visit to the famous Computer Street was more of a box to check. Did not really look to buy stuff, but ended up buying some accessories. Price wise, very cheap... not sure how durable they would be though, but then its a place to buy cheap accessories. So no harm done. Ideal for those buying in bulk or for wholesale shoppers.

Extra caution for buyers when shopping in this area. There are many genuine gadgets and accessories but there are many fakes as well. Better be familiar with the products you're buying. I am not a computer expert but I was unfortunate to buy a fake 2TB Western Digital portable storage for RMB505. My companion bought a 1TB from another shop for RMB300, which turned out fake as well.
Before buying these kinds of products, it's recommended that buyers check the serial number and model number at the brand's website while in the store. Be equipped with portable wifi to accomplish that. I discovered late that the serial # was seemingly assigned correctly but the product number had two wrong digits.
When price is too good to be true, just be extra cautious. Don't be as dumb as I am.

First stop was Computer street as my hubby is quiet the geek, we spent the whole day there I tell you have never seen anything like it we managed to get, an Apple Mini , an Asus Laptop for me a Nikon Camera for me and other little bits of gagetry. According to my hubby we got really really good rates , my husband to haggle his way into getting a really good edit suite. You can negotiate every price down , glad for the tips that we received from friends prior. There are a few eating places , there is even a starbucks and McDonalds there oh by the way if you need the loo the toilets are not your usual western kind cant explain wat their called but just take as a note? P.S always take a metered taxi when going around the town , it cost us 25RMB / $5 from the hotel we were staying at which as abt 10-15min depending on traffic.

We couldn't believe the amount of computer gear for sale in this area. Huge amount. Prices amazing. If you are getting phones make sure that "English" not "Chinese" is on the item purchased.

This is a great place to buy refurbed equipment at a fraction of retail prices. I recently picked up a fantastic Dell Studio for a third of its retail price. Other highlights include printer kits, HD Media Players and HDs.
Markets stretch all the way down the end of the, road until you get to the screen shops at the bottom. This is China so do not expect the quirkiness and creativity of Akihabara but do expect lots of bargain basement prices. If you are a modder or a DIY PC guy, this is going to be pure heaven for you.

This is the main area for computer and telecoms products. You can find malls, individual shops and street vendors all selling anything an all types of accessories.
Be mindful that most products are known off unless it's the actual store in which case the price is the same as any western country.
If it's a bargain price double check the quality.
There is more choice than time so pick wisely.
