As its name states clear, Party Pier is Guangzhou's nightlife hub. A former brewery right at the Zhujiang riverfront, the area is now a lively place with pubs, clubs and restaurants. The view of Pearl River is particularly pleasant at night. Beware that traffic can be an issue during weekend nights.

We wanted a harbor view of the Canton Tower and our friend brought us here for after dinner drinks. We couldn’t get up to the Canton Tower because of the haze so that was a bummer, but we had a great time walking around the pier and had drinks at Zapata’s where there was live music by a band that played a good mix of popular Western & Chinese Pop.
As it was a Wednesday evening, the party pier was not packed at 9 pm, but I suspect the weekend is a different story.
There were loads of young adults present enjoying the unusually warm evening. We learned that this was once a brewery & sure enough, the huge beer silos remains in place

We absolutely love Party Pier. It has really nice restaurants that really come alive at night. Lots of people hanging around in the evening and a ton of really nice bars. Love the bars by the river front.

Three of us made our way down on a Saturday night to check out the restaurants and music. We had no trouble getting in as most tables were empty. There were people walking around but not enough to make a critical mass. There were a few touts to get you into their music venues but not enough people inside to feel very excited. The views from the upper story (4-6) bars were great as you can see the river and brightly lit boats. Most of the beers were mainstream with few craft options. We might return some day out of hope that it has a better draw. But at 11pm on a Saturday night with clear skies (for Guangzhou, anyway) there just wasn't much there to call it a "Party Pier".

Guangzhou 🇨🇳party pier situated on the banks of the Pearl River💕. Vibrant and teaming with life highly recommended. The tram from the Canton Ta (Tower) stops at the pier or just walk around a enjoy the sights of this beautiful city. Party pier is a hub of bars and restaurants for all tastes and budgets. But remember folks that the most delicious food served in Guangzhou 🇨🇳is on the street and the many restaurants that doesn’t cost you a fortune. Yeah you will enjoy the city and river views as darkness falls. Just enjoy and have fun. A big yeah from us! Gordon 🇬🇧 and Sissi 🇨🇳

A must if you have had a hard day at a exhibition or looking for a good entertaining evening.
I went with my Work colleague I am a white European and he is black African origin. We were treated perfectly everywhere we went and never was either of us subjected to any racism as per some other reviews I had read .
It has a good level of western style food and so much choice of beer, if your in before 8 food is half price and drinks 30% off can't be bad.

We came into Lucky Jack - for a drink and some dinner. The waiter wouldn't give us any attention - finally showed up then I ordered a Hoegaarden, he came back with the beer. 10 mins later we were ordering appetizers and he pulls out the bill. Adds the cost of our appetizers on the bill and asks us to pay.
Ironically the table across us has a bunch of white people pouring wine like no one's business and no Bills there!

Best to avoid if you are a person of colour. Not worth the embarrassment on a business trip.

Amazing vibes here, very busy, plenty of locals and foreigners coming to party here in and around Guangzhou.
I went for the first time on the 16th of Dec and it was well worth the trip.
If you enjoy partying, this is the place to be!
Taxis are lined up outside the club so there was barely any waiting time to leave.
Highly recommended if you’re in town!

An ideal spot for groups to meet up and enjoy dinner/drinks after hours of walking around the Canton Fair.

Easily accessible on the tram, which runs right past Canton Fairs many entrances, and stops at Party Pier on it's way to Canton Tower.

As we were staying in Wanshenwei, the other end of the tram line, this was our best form of local transport.

From other areas of Guangzhou you can catch the superb subway to Canton Tower and get the tram from there to party Pier, or of course, catch a taxi - the driver from the train station knew exactly where Party Pier was.

Once you get there you are spoiled for choice in the many bars and restaurants, many with great live bands and plenty of buzz and a fun atmosphere.

Of course, you expect to pay more here for a beer than in the street bars around the city, but the view over the river at night from the top deck of Zapatos is a pretty nice place for a cold one.

Service where we ate there was excellent and the staff were helpful, quick and fun with very good English (far better than my Chinese).
