This was the first masjid build in Madinah by the Prophet SAW. This masjid has been blessed by Allah in the holy Quran. The Prophet SAW used to visit Quba Masjid on a Saturday. It is a well maintained historical site and holds great reverence in Islamic History. A must visit for all Hajees. Take the hop on off buss from the city as it only costs 10SAR. Compared to the 150 SAR charged by taxi drivers.

I was there for the first time in 1979.
I was frequently praying there with my family way back in 1988 to 1989 when I worked in Madina.
The Masjid is beautiful as ever before.
Nowadays when perform any umra, I usually pray and visit the place or masjid.
The area / like a park was greatly expanded to accommodate visitors or hajjis.
The stores selling goods or dates were relocated.

Nice to know that if you pray in this masjed Two raquat equals Umra.
The entrance on Saturday was extremely crowded. Loads of buses were coming in. To get in an out was really difficult. Once you are in, the masjed wasn't so crowded as many people were in and out quickly

Due to this is still pandemic time, they only let people go in at the prayer time and then they will close the door and wait for the next prayer time. If you did not bring prayer mat. They will provide you with a plastic one. It's advisable to bring yours to maintain the cleanliness of the mosque.

This masjid is considered as one of the most important masjids because the reward for praying here is equivalent to one umrah. This is the first masjid built since Prophet Muhammad's emigration from Mekah to Madinah. The first Friday prayer was said to happen here and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave his first sermon. Make it a point to visit and pray ar Masjid Quba when you visit Madinah. It is located 5km away from the majestic Masjid Nabawi...

Masjid Quba. It's always on our mind. The first ever Masjid being built. Its a must visit everytime we're in Madinah.
This time around, we drove down from Makkah, free from the shackles of travel agents. We made our way to Madinah in a nice brand new Hyundai SUV which serves to transport the 4 of us. We left Makkah around 11 am and reached Masjid Quba around 3 pm. It was a good smooth ride.
We were so looking forward to Madinah, and first stop, Masjid Quba. It was fantastic, we were able to perform all our prayers there. We took our time to absorb the experience and spent more than an hour in a serene, peaceful surrounding.
It always created a mark in our hearts when we take leave of this Mosque. We shall make our way to the Masjid again, In Sya Allah.

Arriving in Al Madinah from Jeddah we parked without difficulty on the sides of Al Hijrah Rd very close to the mosque. Quba Mosque owes its importance to being most probably the first mosque in the world as it was built in the village of Quba at the time of the Prophet Mohammed. It must be said that the existing structure is from the 20th century when the original mosque was torn down and replaced with a new one. An interesting visit.

A mosque employee checks for Tawakkalna status at the entrance. Those who can't produce their Tawakkalna have to pray outside.
There used to be stalls outside of the mosque selling everything from souvenirs, dates to spices but these have been demolished.
Fret not, if you want your ajwas, there are a number of peddlers at the car park selling their goods. Ajwas for SAR5 a kilo! Try beating that.

The first mosque built by the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him. Have been here many times and the feelings are always the same if not better each time. Nothing but peace, calm and tranquillity. Not much else to say except if you go to Saudi or Madinah, make sure you visit and pray 2 rak'ah!

Walked from Masjid an Nabawi to Masjid Quba after Fajr. Path was nice and pleasant. Arrived just in time to watch sunrise, before praying in the masjid. Looks great from outside and inside. Wudhu and toilet facilities available also

What namaz for what the two rakat namaz is to be performed in Riyazul jannah
Written April 12, 2023
Are you asking a question because you are answering with an answer. You can pray as many rakats in Riaz ul Janaah Mubarak if you have the time but it is an honour to pray 2 Rakats in Masjid Quba and they say you get the reward of an Umrah, if choose not to want to do so nobody is forcing you!
Written April 14, 2023
You’ve probably already travelled, but as far as I am aware, there are no optional prayers after Fajr (until after sunrise). The same goes for after Asr (Until after sunset)

It is prescribed for the visitor to Madeenah and for the one who lives there to go to the Mosque of Quba’ and pray there, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and seeking the reward of ‘Umrah. It was narrated that Sahl ibn Haneef said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever goes out until he comes to this mosque – meaning the Mosque of Quba’ – and prays there, that will be equivalent to ‘Umrah.” Narrated by Ahmad, 3/437; al-Nasaa’i, 699; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1180, 1181.
According to Ibn Maajah: “Whoever purifies himself in his house, then comes to the Mosque of Quba’ and prays there, he will have the reward of ‘Umrah.” Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1412.
In al-Saheehayn it is narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to go to the mosque of Quba’ every Saturday, walking or riding, and he would pray two rak’ahs there. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1191; Muslim, 1399

Perhaps is was Sheikh Abdulmajid Salamah Al Suraiha who is known for emotional azans. Otherwise could it be one of the following: Abdulrahman Abdul Elah Khashoggi, Kamil Saleh Al-Najdi, Essam Hussain Bukhari, Omar Yousif Kamal, Iyad Ahmad Shokri, Ashraf Muhammad Al-Afifi, Faisal Al-Nu’man, Sami Muhammad Dayooli, Muhammad Majid Al-Hakeem, Saud Abdulaziz Bukhari, Abdulmajeed Slamah Al-Suraihi or Omar Nabeel Sunbul.
Hope that helps.
