Excruciatingly expensive for an average ride

$ 27 or SAR 100 is a bit too expensive for an average experience ride of 10 minutes. The ride would be better if it's foggy, but you would miss out on the view and shepherd with his flock of sheep. No getting off at the base and therefore no exploring the valley.

No option to purchase the tickets online. Discourteous staff at the counter and at the ride. They seemed unheard of hospitality or tourism.

However, the Al Souda mountain is worth exploring with the beautiful weather although the place is profusely littered.

Even with fog is a great trip! MUST DO

There are 2 cable car. Make sure you go to the Al Sauda and be there by 1230pm to que for the ticket.
The car takes 8 people they will not give it if you are not 8. Cost 750 SAR per car.
Be there on time or you risk to miss the ticket sales.
Don't be discouraged by the fog after 5 mins of descent the scenario is still spectacular.
Opened only in summer so check the exact date and time before going.

Abha Cable station

We eagerly planned Abha visit but with lack of present receivers we were stuck with Plan to Al Sauda Cable station in off season with no notice board. Lastly we came to know they are running in off season only Fridays and Saturdays. So people plan your visit accordingly .

Secondly the Abha Al Jadidah Cable Car Station is scheduled to run Wed to Sat so missed this too.
Cable Car at Al Habala is currently running only Thu, Fri and Sat.

So do keep a note of these
apart from this weather here is beautiful

Only habala park cable ride open

Al sooda and green mountain was closed. But habala park was open and it was a nice experience. Since it was off season, it was not crowded and we could take really good photos.

Don't go. I was yesterday there, wait 15 minutes, but nobody was coming.
They have a serious padlock and a chain on the gate. Seems that the gate wasn't use for some time.
Stat home or try to find something else to do.

They are not working
Cable cars stopped . Nobody gives information, in which period its working.
Locals are not helpful
Dont ever plan to go as an expact.
Better spend money to Go to any other country..asian country...

Must-see Souda Mountain

It's Al Souda, Soodah, Soda...regardless of the spelling, it's the cable car excursion that you just have to do if you visit Assir province! It's about 20 minutes from Abha city area, and may be hard to catch an uber out there, but well worth it. There are a few cable car locations in the area, so make sure you have the right one. This is the best (disclaimer: it was the only one I tried). It's 80 SAR per adult, and runs 1pm-5 or 6pm. The ride is about 20min each way in the cable car. The views are spectacular (as long as you're not scared of heights). Being suspended over the gorges and the rocks and coming over the mountain was beautiful and serene. The cars are enough to fit 6-8 adults, but if you want to be able to move around to get 360 views, 2-4 people is best. At the bottom, there wasn't much to do though. Just a snack stand, some picnic tables, and more views of the valley town below and the mountain you just descended from. It was a Friday early afternoon, so nothing was open down below. We rode back up, and it was a nice little trip on my last day in Abha. Our cab was waiting, so we made it down the mountain, took some pictures, and back up in one hour flat. If more was open, we would have ventured into town which would have taken more time.

i did,t use the cable car ,,,, unfortunately it wasn't at work at that time ,,, but nature was amazing ,,,mountains ,,, clouds ,,,, rain ,,, weather was sooooo amazing

If you come to green of abha you must visit to this place. We had a good time .i saw not scary or shaky. Smooth like a vehicle. Breaking view. I enjoyed it very much. Im happy for making a good decision.

Must Try Experience

Recommended if you're travelling to Abha. Its Jabal Souda. (As Souda Cable Car).
Approximately 30min drive from city. Enjoy the curvy mountain enroute Jabal Souda.
Number of fuel stations and general stores on the way but we could hardly find any snacks shop.
The mountain peak is mostly covered under cloud, especially post noon.
Cable car takes about 20-25min to reach down hill and similar time to return back on top. Each car can seat approximately 8 adults comfortably.
Tickets at discount are available if travelling in group.
At Cable car start point, you can carry your food along. Once you reach down with cable car, its big garden with lots of seating but no eateries shops, so enjoy your own food that you carry along.
Washrooms are available down hill and were clean.
