it is a monument of Adrianople peace between Russia and Turkey. Cannons and raised out of the sea from one of the crashed off the coast of Sochi ships. The memorial plaque says that the monument erected in honor of Adrianople Peace Treaty, by which the land (including Sochi) went to Russia forever.
