Look to be honest it’s a nice place to visit. That being said it was a lot smaller than we were expecting and the pool itself was quite dirty. Nearby there is a nice viewpoint and restaurant.

There is a small tunnel leading to the lake. The lake itself was pretty dirty when we where there and it is also really crowded. As an non russian speaker there is no possibility to read or learn anything about this place on site.

but it is free for everyone, which is nice ;)

This beautiful blue mineral water lake is known from 18-th century .
It is not big but 15 meters in diameter and 11 meters deep.
You walk apron. 60 meters via tunnel to the lake. The tunnel is well lit.
It is not recommended to visit for people suffering from claustrophobia.

It is closed because of some troubles with the passage which makes the lake almost out of reach. You can still look around, but the main attraction remains undiscovered.

A lot people visit every day this place and seem they like it. From my point of view is terrible, a small tunnel that arrive in a very small dirty lake with a lot of birds inside with bad smell . Puah !!!!!!!

Although the place turned out to be pretty cool, the expectations were higher. Proval itself is just a small stinky pond. What is interesting is a tunnel leading to it and a statue of Ostap Bender at the entrance.

To be honest I expected so much more from this place!!! I walked for about an hour from the Cvetnik, centre of Pyatigorsk and really,at the end I felt totally disappointed with my "reward". Just a small lake in the cave, that`s it! The surrounding nature is beautiful though and lots of hotsprings in the vicinity.

Must see, although you won't be able to get inside and touch the water because it is caged up. Beautiful colour of the water and distinctive smell sulphur. I also enjoyed the tunnel to the lake, it makes it mystical. Take a camera with you, but don`t expect to spend too much time there.
