Pretty park with unique architecture
Jan 2019 • Family
This is a pretty park near downtown Pyatigorsk. You can come down into it from near Mashuk and Gagarina Blvd. near the Aeola Harp Gazebo as well. It's very peaceful and the unique architecture of the buildings stands out along the way.

Lovely view of the city. Lots to see.

From the Park one can get a lovely view of the City. Inside the Park there are a number of tourist sites such as Diana's Grotto, the Eagle statue, Tolstoy Cafe with its esoteric architecture and a most interesting outdoor Museum of various archaeological stone items.

Beautiful flower designs
Sep 2017 • Friends
Took a walk through the park on September 1st. Flowers are changed daily so the calendar is accurate. Landscaping is with color but also in "relief" very unusual. Trees are huge and fountains are beautiful.

Not as many flowers as you might expect from the name
Aug 2017 • Family
Quiet place, although the main roads are crowded. Great access to buvets with water and local attractions (the Harp, the Eagle, the Operetta theatre, the galleries etc.). But not nearly as many flowers as there used to be before.
Nice place to pass through or to return old-time memories if you have any.

Nice but needs renovation

Tsvetnik is definitely the most important and famous tourist highlight of Pyatigorsk. It`s relatively big and besides flowers and trees there are some important historic buildings related to Russia`s beloved novelist Lermontov. As the city lies on mineral hotsprings Tsvetnik is surrounded by numerous sanatoriums and hotels but even though there is a certain melancholy in the air and it looks sort of empty and shabby I`d say. As I was passing through Tsvetnik on my way to other city`s attraction - Proval, which all of the locals consider a "must see" place, I didn`t see a single road sign along the way which would actually point you to Proval so I was a little bit confused.Even though it was a hot day and I enjoyed the walk up the hill as there are many paths you just don`t know which direction to go and feel like an idiot. Luckily,I speak Russian so I asked the locals but still.

On the way from Tsvetnik to Proval there are some "wild" hotsprings, like small pools dug out in the ground with boiling hot mineral water open to public, and the locals gather there and dip inside these pools for free so it`s fun.

I found it great that on Tsvetnik promenade there are some people offering daily trips aorund Pyatigorsk,to,all over the region - Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia,Ingushetia and Chechnya.

My overall impression is that Pyatigorsk, even though it is officially the capital of North Caucasus region and really is beautiful with lots of parks and trees almost anywhere you look,as most of other Russian towns lacks good tourist management that would know how to improve the level of service.

Oldest park in the town
May 2012 • Solo
One of the biggest and definitely the most beautiful park in town. It has gorgeous apricot sand which makes park look very cozy and pretty. In the center of the park you will see wonderful iron building - Lermontov Gallery, from the beginning of the 20th century. Definitely visit the building to feel its beauty.
