Wandering dogs
Sep 2018 • Couples
This monument can be easily considered as an easter egg from the past with regard to nowdays Tinder application. What I mean is that this monument was designed as a couple of dogs who have just met each other for the first time ever and heading for a walk. Doesn't recall anything? Also, it's a meeting point for romantic couples.

Two shining dogs...
Mar 2018 • Solo
So I've been told the statue is based on a poem of some poet. Call me simple... but I just though "oh... look, two dogs holding hands".
Some say it brings luck to pet them... looking at their shine there must be many lucky people walking around ;)

If you find yourself petting them, and you hands got cold from the touching. Just take four steps to your left, and get yourself a warm beverage from the window in the wall...

Seems dogs feel safe close to the statue... second picture I posted is on the other side of the street across from the statue...

hope for help to homeless dogs
Feb 2018
This is the symbol of homeless dogs. It is very big problem in Russia. And zoodefenders sometimes make meetings and pickets. When there were murders of dogs, people brought toys and photos here in sign of solidarity and sympathy

Walking on Krasnaya street
Nov 2016 • Family
The walking dogs sculpture symbolizes two dogs who have their first date after meeting on the corner. You can rub their noses and make a wish. Historical inspiration for this monument was the poem of Valdimir Mayakovskiy. He wrote this poem in 1926 when he saw a bunch of homeless pedigree dogs in Krasnodar. Their owners were killed during the revolution.

Dog's Capital

Famous Russian writer Mayakovskiy's quote is right above the sculpture: "This isn't a dog's boons, it's' the dog's capital!"

Cute local monument

A very nice little sculpture with famous poet Mayakovsky's words about Krasnodar, explaining that it is the city of the nice dogs. Looks a very poopular tourist attraction, judging by the dogs' shining copper noses rubbed by millions of hands :-)
