Beautiful, restored church with entry permitted. Must be appropriately dressed. Hard to see how massive is the structure when visiting. View also from a high place or see posted photos.

St. Catherine's Cathedral was built in 1914 in honor of the deliverance of the royal family of Alexander III from death in a train crash. In 1935 the cathedral was turned into a warehouse and the bells were removed for melting down. The cathedral was reopened during the Great Patriotic War in 1942 during the occupation of Krasnodar by German troops. Now St. Catherine's Cathedral is the main temple of the Yekaterinodar and Kuban dioceses. The temple is spacious and beautiful inside. On the territory of the temple there are many green spaces, benches where you can sit. Definitely worth a visit!
