Petrashevsky Circle and Dostoevsky exile
Sep 2019
Small museum mostly about Dostoyevsky and Petrashevsky Circle. You can see the chains and bonds used in prison where Dostoyevsky was held. Also you can see other things not connected with Dostoyevsky. There is English translatation for exponents and book with story.

So interesting!

I learned so much about Dostoevsky from coming here! Almost everything is translated to English, and they also have a kind of written guide in English. Much more than I expected! Definitely recommend this to anyone interested in Dostoevsky and/or history!

So many writers!
Jan 2017 • Solo
I had no idea so many famous writers came from the area. If you speak Russia this is an interstign museum to give you ideas of what to read next. There is plenty about the life of Dostoevsky, but also brief information about other famous writers. Small, intersting.

Much more than a museum!
Jan 2016 • Friends
When we went to this museum, we were the only visitors. The very friendly ladies who work there showed us around and even gave some advise where to eat lunch.
There is a part about Siberian writers as well and you can buy some souvenirs.

Decent museum to spend some time in
Jun 2013 • Business
Nice collection of stories, photos, and artifacts from Dostoevsky's time in Omsk. There are a couple of printed pages in English, but that is it. Better if you go with someone that can help you. A good place to spend some time, but probably an hour at most unless you are a huge fan Dostoevsky.
