My first visit to Krasnoyarsk, my first visit to Russia infact, and what a pleasant surprise this was. Looking at the Yenisei from the lookout point somewhere around Divnogorsk, it seemed surreal as it was like watching one of the NatGeo series. The river looked pristine and the water clear. I was quite surprised however when my local guide told... More

Enisey is one of the most beautiful and large rivers of the world. It starts in Mongolia, then 2 rivers Biy Khem (Big Enisey) and Kaa Khem (Small Enisey) meet in Kyzyl city (capital of Tyva Republic) and go till the Arctic Ocean (for more then 4 thousands km). Enisey river has lots of tributes. The largest one is river... More

Many years ago I was with my dad canoed this great river. We started at one end of the city of Krasnoyarsk and finished in another. I'll always remember that day. The Yenisei river is very powerful and strong river. It is not as wide as, for example, the Volga, but more affluent. This is the river arrow, river-bullet.Starting in... More

The center piece of Krasnoyarsk. Go on the pedestrian bridge from Mira Street over to Tatishev island and feel the awesome power of this majestic river. A must see in Krasnoyarsk .

One of Russia's great rivers, it runs through the city. choose one of the bridges to walk over it. SOme of the most picturesque places are the bank near the Conservatory where ulitsa Mira starts with its quaint old houses, and the place where Lenin's steamboat is on display.

In the Yenisei lot of fish: grayling, trout, sterlet, muksun and many other). In winter Yenisei river does not freeze and water temperature is about-5-0. Krasnoyarsk "walruses"... More
