It was a breath taking trek in midsummer from the village of Tyungur to the Belucha mountain which is located on the China-Mongolia-Russia border. Best to be done in groups of more than 6 people with local guides all the way and professional advise for the preparation of food and equipment for the participants. Not advised for children younger then... More

What is Altai? Average Russian kid will tell you it’s mountains somewhere in Siberia. Many tourists even happened to be there. The thing is that there’s some kind of tourist area over there in Altai where man may feel well enough to stop seeking for more deep knowing of this place. Which is a pity!!! Because non-touristic Altai is a... More

After a long but exciting journey from London, my partner and I arrived in Tungur at the Visodnik Camp. Met by the most friendly and helpful Russian owners, who hailed from St Petersburg, we felt most welcome. The next day we took our horses and local guide, Andre who guided us all the way to the Ak-em Lake and our... More
