The Dmitrievskaya tower is so called the main gate to the Kremlin. You can't miss it :)

There is the exhibition hall inside of the tower where you can find clothes, household items, photos of Nizhny Novgorod a few years ago and other thing. The exhibition is small but interesting.
On the second floor, there is the exhibition devoted to birds, insects and animals dwelling in Nizhny Novgorod.
You gotta pay extra for taking pictures. It's just 100 roubles or about 2,5 euros. Though I doubt that they the have the same prices for foreigners. Sorry, but I there is nothing I can do about it :)

Besides from Dmitrievskaya tower you can go on an excursion along the Kremlin walls. It's very exciting and worth seeing. Really. You won't regret about spending money :) There is a fantastic view over there. I guarantee you'll like it :)

We visited this tower with children and actually expected more, there are two rooms, top floor is filled with stuffed animals that used to live (and maybe some of them still live) in the woods of Nizhny. The other room had a few bits of archeological findings and some personal belongings of Svyatoslav Agafonov, the man who devoted his life to this Kremlin restoration work. The most interesting piece was their model of a firing tower with three layers of loopholes, so the visitors understand the initial project, of which one layer is now gone underground. It`s a pity they have no English translations for their exhibition, neither they have any inside the wall, as of summer 2017. The wall was a rather long walk with lots of stairs.

Got in this museum to see its exibits. The ticket costed about 250 rubles and you could see almost all museus along the wall, but found a door closed and could not explore the wall. Workers can't speak English. Nothing I English except the ticket office sign. You pay more for being foreign but no assistance at all.
