The library of Vyborg is a master piece designed by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. Not only is the building but everything inside beautifully restored. A must place for all interested in Aalto's furniture and architecture, located centrally in a park.

The ingenious dome lights that cast no shadows, the ceiling with the waves, the gently curving wooden handrails that need to caressed, the children's library designed for little people... everybody who loves architecture and/or books should see this Finnish building when visiting Vyborg.

Gem of Alvar aalto arhitecture. Finally totally renovated building at its best. You can get a group tour, or just pop in and look modernism ideas ca 80 years ago.
It was almost completely destroyed so it is really nice to see it.
