Coming out of the bowels of the Finlyandsky Station, we unanimously decided to walk on foot to Nevsky Prospekt, and for this it was necessary to cross the bridge crossing - Liteiny Bridge. It’s another adventure under the merciless August sun, it’s one thing when you drive through it by car and another thing when you walk ~ 400 m. But they carefully examined how they laid a new road surface on this hard worker. And of course, we noticed the amazingly beautiful cast iron fence, made according to a drawing by architect K.K. Rachau and moved from the old bridge built in 1879, which is a cultural heritage site of regional importance. And so the bridge is simply a well-deserved “workhorse”, without which “neither here nor here”!🤣

Railing on the bridge are ornate and interesting. From here you get another area to appreciate the Neva River and the surrounding area. If you are traveling in the city, expect you will get opportunity to stop here

It’s a good place for photos of the river. You can see the architecture on both sides. It is easy to walk across but takes a long time.

The opening of the bridge took place in 1879. The bridge was built across the deepest part of the Neva - more than 24 m. What is good about bridges in St. Petersburg is that most of them offer good and picturesque views.
