A special treat, on our first visit to St Petersburg, to see the Russian ballet and a special production of Sleeping Beauty. Though the seats weren’t cheap the view was excellent (middle stalls row one seats 25/26) and despite seating 2000 it felt very intimate....More

Absolutely stunning. I have never wanted to watch ballet but went along with my wife and daughters. Simply stunning performance (Cinderella). Why have I not been before. Walked out at the end and immediately booked to see another ballet. You must see this performance

I visited performances at the Mariinsky II Theatre many times. It's one of the best stages world wide. Modern and beautiful inside, great accoustics, comfortable seating and venting. Fantastic! A must do for music lovers.

Idea to go out for an opera came to my mind so late there were not many options to choose from and Adriana Lecouvreur definitely didn't occur to be one of my top favourites. But experience, of course, was excellent. This new Mariinskiy-2 theatre is...More

The chance to see the Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker performed by the Mariinsky Ballet in St. Petersburg was too great of an opportunity to pass up. When planning our trip to St. Petersburg, my boyfriend and I saw this would be happening during our time there, so...More

I had read there were no bad seats in Mariinskiy 2 but I am very sad to report that I found a bad seat and could not enjoy the ballet because I could jot see much of the stage. The first 3 or 4 rows...More
