Alisa gave a virtual walking tour of St Petersburg to a group of over 100 people who belong to an Arts Society in the U.K. Her knowledge of the history, art and architecture of the city is most impressive. The images she showed of the city certainly encouraged a number of viewers to plan a visit once the borders reopen. Having Alisa as a guide would be a bonus. She is so enthusiastic about the city where she has lived all her life and is eager to show tourists areas which are off the beaten track.
Whatever one’s interests Alisa is able to cater for them and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

My husband and I had this tour in March 2020, we LOVED it, it was MARVELOUS, and you should do it too!
I have to say my husband and I were stunned at how beautiful the palace was. Mind blowing as was the experience, we also realized we really would not enjoy The Catherine place much as we did without all the information our brilliant, knowledgeable and funny guide told us, about the Russian court dances, and fan language, and secrets of the royal court and personal life of the tzars and tzarinas.
It’s also totally worth it to to have a private guide and a private tour too, as you get into the palace in no time skipping all the enormous lines. (Yes, even in March this year!)
On the same day we did the metro tour. And again even if you know where to go without a guide it would be just a selfie-trip, with Alice however it became a true cultural experience and at times a revelation.
I always pick little private agencies for my trips and I always find out I’m right to do so because they have personal approach to clients and the guides are usually the best there because they value their reputation. I was glad that this agency really did their best for me and my husband and will surely be using them again! Thank you Alice so very much.

We enjoyed 2 excellent sightseeing days with Alisa who was extremely professional and knowledgable. We decided to take the option of transportation on both days and this worked very well for us, as there was much walking particularly on the first day of the tour - which included The Hermitage museums. A private viewing of the Metro stations was a highlight of our tour as was lunch at a local Russian restaurant.
Overall a varied and well planned tour which offered us a real insight into the history of St Petersburg. Thank you Alisa.

We had a wonderful day tour to Catherine Palace and Peterhof with amazing guide Alisa. (It's super convenient for us because it is a private tour with private van) We get to know about an interesting history and details of all places. Alisa took us to lunch at a local Pancake restaurant.. which we absolutely enjoyed. On our way back we stopped by to see some of the most beautiful Metro stations in Saint Petersburg as well. We had a great day thanks to Alisa.

We used this company for a skip the line tour of the Hermitage and separately for a private transfer to the airport. I found Alisa, the owner, to be highly responsive to my information requests. She was always quick to respond. I believe you can really trust her to try to meet your tour needs in St. Petersburg. I also thought their Hermitage private tour prices were very competitive. I wouldn’t hesitate asking Alisa any question about your touring needs. I think she will do whatever she can to help you with your St. Petersburg touring experience.
We had a ½ day private tour of the Hermitage, including the impressionist collection, with Nadya. Nadya is a younger guide, but she really knows her stuff. She gave us a very thorough tour of the palace and highlights of the art collections in the Winter Palace, New Hermitage and small Hermitage. She then took us over to General Staff building to view the impressionist collection which also had items on display from Moscow. Throughout our tour I was very impressed with Nadya’s knowledge. She has a somewhat reserved personality yet she keeps you thoroughly engaged with her in-depth knowledge of the museum and its collection. I would recommend Nadya for a tour of the Hermitage.
Alisa also arranged a private transfer from our hotel to the airport that was very, very early in the morning. Again, the rate was very competitive. Our driver, Nadezda, showed up early and drove us in her Lexus MDX to the airport.
Overall, I would highly recommend using Petersgrip (and Alisa) for tours in St. Petersburg, and for private transfers, as she and her company provides excellent service at very competitive prices.

We booked a day's travel to go to the Paul Palace and our driver made it a really enjoyable day. Instead of just taking us to the gate of the Palace she came in to the park and into the palace and showed us around. She also took us to another palace we wanted to see. We had tried to find out if it was open online, but by going there we found it was closed for restoration. A really good day and a great driver. Thanks

Alisa was absolutely superb. Intelligent, knowledgable and full of interesting details about the city and its history. We booked last minute and Alisa was still somehow able to secure us skip the line tickets to St Catherines Palace and the Hermitage despite both being sold out.
Her drivers were professional and competent, with the tour being well constructed given our time constraints.
She recommended local places to eat that were really great and simple food. Not tourist traps but where actual Russians go for lunch.
A fascinating tour with a quality guide. You won't go wrong with Alisa.

This was an excellent guide service. It was easy to make arrangements. Payment was on completion of the tour. Pick-up was exactly on time. Alisa demonstrated above average knowledge of the Palace and history of the city on the way to the Palace. We were given plenty of time to explore the park after the palace tour and were never rushed to complete the tour. (Also no lines). We were so pleased we have helped our friends set up a tour through this agency when they visit in October.

We really feel we maximised our short stay in St Petersburg by using Alisa’s company. All communication was excellent and timely, it was wonderful not having to worry about purchasing tickets, trying to work out the best time of day to visit or what entrance to take. Having the van and driver was so so good, we got to see quite a bit of the centre of St Petersburg and enjoyed our trip out to Catherine’s Palace and Peterhof Gardens, again without having to think about transport options etc So nice to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel each day.
Alisa was our guide on our first day and Kate on our second, their extensive knowledge and delivery was interesting and informative, we learnt so much. Thank you Alisa, Kate and our lovely safe driver for a wonderful time in St Petersburg.

Hi, I'm Hinny. My mom and I want to visit St. Pertersburg in June this year from Finland for 2~3 days trip. I have no idea how to get there, and we don't have visa, is this possible?

Hi,
If you don't plan to get a visa, the only option for you will be to take St Peterline (Moby spl) ferry that allows a visa-free stay for up to 72 hours, stay at the hotel and book their shuttle-bus to the city. I will be happy to suggest a tour program for you, but it will be easier if I know the dates as the museums have different schedule.
Regards,
Alisa

Hello Alisa, We are a group of four arriving in St. Petersburg on Regal Princess September 5th (6:30a.m.) and departing on September 6 (6p.m.). We are interested in a tour that keeps museum visits to "the best of the best" (minimal) and leave lots of time to see local flavor - subway ride, grocery stores off the beaten track sites, your recommendations and a good amount of time for shopping. We do not have Visas. Could you recommend a tour that might accommodate our interests? Thank you, Judi

Dear Judi,
I am sory for a big delay in answering, for some reasons I didn't get a notification about your question. I am sure you have already chosen some company, but nevertheless.
I would suggest the following tour program:
Day 1:
09:00 meeting at the ship, departure for Peterhof by private car. A stop to see some of the most beautiful metro stations.
10:30 - 12:30 - tour of Peterhof fountain park
12:30 - 13:30 - lunch break if needed
13:30 - 15:30 - driving back to St Petersburg with a stop at a local supermarket on the way back
15:30 - 16:00 - tour of St Isaac's cathedral
16:30 - 17:00 - tour of the Peter and Paul fortress
17:40 - return to the ship
Day 2
09:30 - meeting at the port, departure for the city center by public transport
10:30 - 11:00 - tour of the Savior on Spilt blood church
11:15 - 13:10 - tour of the Hermitage museum
13:10 - 14:00 - lunch break if needed
14:30 - 15:30 - shopping
17:00 - back to the ship

Hello Alisa, my wife and I are planning to visit St. Petersburg this coming year. Most likely, June. Our plan is to stay 6 - 8 days and would be interested in your private tour costs. Along with daily excursions to the "high points" but also outside of the city to surroundings.
I am a professional photographer and would like to take that into consideration.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
M. Orenich

Hello,
I suggest a rather relaxed program to give you more time to take photos. I have included public transport in the basic option to cut costs, but it's possible to arrange a private car if needed. This far costs are approximate, I will be able to confirm them after New Year:
Day 1:
Walking city tour with visits to the Savior on Spilled blood church and St Isaac's cathedral - 5000 rub for 2 people (including museum tickets). The tour lasts about 3 hours.
Day 2
Hermitage museum tour . 5600 rub for 2 people if the tour includes the main museum complex (with the Winter palace) and 7000 rub if you want to see the collection of impressionists as well. Museum tickets are included in both cases. Please note that the tour with impressionist collection can take most of the day.
Day 3
Catherine palace and the Peter and Paul fortress - by public transport. Tour price 11000 rub including public transport and museum tickets. The tour takes most of the day.
Day 4
Peterhof fountain park by public transport. I suggest to skip the palace as the fountains are the main attraction there. Tour price will be 8300 for 2 people including public traansport and museum tickets. Also you will be able to see some of the most beautiful metro stations on the way there.
I think it will be easier to discuss other options by e-mail indicated on my website.

Alisa

My wife and I will be arriving in St. Petersburg on the Caribbean Princess cruise ship on July 4, 2015 at 6:30 AM. We will be departing on July 5, 2015 at 6:00 PM. We would like a tour of the Hermitage (including the Gold Room) and a tour of the Faberge Museum (particularly the egg collection). Also, if we could take some public transportation including a Metro station and visit to a supermarket or see some other sites that help us understand the daily lives of local residents, that would be great too.
Can you give us a proposed itinerary and a quote. We are older so we might need to go more slowly. Also, we do not have any tourist visas.
Thank you,
Charley

Hi, Charley
Regarding your requests, we can try to do the following:
Day 1: Since it's a longer day I suggest using a private car for your convenience
08:45 - meeting at the ship, departure for Peterhof fountain park. On the way we'll make a stop to see the most beautiful metro stations & will make a quick stop at a supermarket
11:00-12:30 - tour of the fountain park
12:30-13:30 - lunch break if needed (payed extra)
13:30-15:00 - driving back to the city center
15:00 - 15:40 - tour of the territory of the Peter and Paul's fortress
16:30 -17:30 - tour of faberge museum (you'll join larger group with an English-speaking guide)
18:00 - 18:30 - return to the ship
day 2 - city center by public transport
09:00 - meeting at the ship, departure to the city center by public transport
10:00 - 11:30 - walk in the city center including the Savior on Spilt blood church
11:30-14:00 - Hermitage museum tour (honestly I recommend to skip the treasury this time - details below)
14:00 - 14:40 - lunch break if needed (payed extra)
14:40 - 15:30 - walk to St Isaac's cathedral (without inside visit) and the Bronze horseman monument
16:30 /17:00 - return to the ship
This is a private tour, the price will be 480$ for both of you including guiding service, museum tickets, transportation costs, car pass to the port, etc. Personal expenses like meals and souvenirs are not included.
Please note that exact order of visiting sites may be different.
Now more details on Faberge museum and the Hermitage treasuries.
Private tours of Faberge museums are extraordinarily expensive for small parties as they charge even a few people as a large group ( 9000 rub at the moment). But every day they have a group guided tour in English and I have included it in the tour price as it's LOTS cheaper. The disadvantage is that time of such a tour is given only about a week in advance, so there may be changes in terms of order of visiting sites.
As for the Hermitage treasury, the story is almost the same. The treasury is not included into the "normal" museum ticket as it can hold only a very limited number of people every day. Tickets to the treasury are not sold in advance and chances to get them from the ticket office the same day are slim as they sell only several dozens of tickets for tours in English every day. Private tours of the treausury are very expensive for small parties (again, they charge as if you were a large-size group) and they confirm private tours at a very short notice. If they have too many visitors on some dates, they may deny some requests at a very short notice (of course, they don't charge money in that case), so it's a little like a lottery. That's why very few companies offer tours of the treasuries of the Hermitage in fact unless thay have a sort of special agreement. But even if they have it, private tours are VERY expensive. In your case I would rather skip the treasury of the Hermitage as you have less than 2 full days in the city and already plan to visit Faberge. If by chance we are lucky to get the treasury tickets the day we are going to the Hermitage and the scheduled treasury tour is available at some time convenient for us, we can try to go there. Extra charge will be only for your treasury tickets which will be about 600 rub (10-15$)
Regards,
Alisa

Hi Alisa. My wife and I will be coming to St. Petersburg on a Princess cruise. We will arrive on the Caribbean Princess on July 4, 2015 docking at 6:30 AM and departing at 6:00 PM on July 5th. My wife and I would especially like to see the following two attractions:
Hermitage Museum including the Gold Room
The Faberge Museum including the collection of eggs.
If we can also take in some public transportation including a Metro station, and maybe a supermarket or some other site or sites that would give us a little view of life in your city for a typical citizen, that would that would be great.
Please understand that we are older folks (65 +), so don't wear us out completely.
If you could tell us what you propose and give us a quotation, we would appreciate it.
Thanks
Charley
