All four are completely different - this is undoubtedly another architectural sculptural masterpiece of the city.
Just a stone's throw from the metro station. "Gostiny Dvor", woth crossing by back and forth to admire the sculptures and the beautiful handrail. From the bridge you can enjoy river views, and many of the city´s beautiful buildings and mansions standing on the banks of the Fontanka River.

I'm not sure there's anything particularly special about the bridge except for the four horse training statues. The statues have some historical interest but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. We were in St Petersburg for five days and drove past this bridge numerous time, sailed under it and walked by it, so it's pretty hard to miss if you're here for any significant amount of time.

If you prefer walking in St.Petersburg, which is definitely a smart choice to experience this city, you are bound to cross Anichkov Bridge at least once. The four statues on the corners attract many tourists by a silly legend that the emperor's face was secretly portrayed in a place highly inappropriate for royalty, and many groups go around the four horsemen closely examining the hind legs of the horses. Forget this silly idea and take a look around - Fontanka is quite lovely and is worth a detour from Nevsky, the bridge is a masterpiece, so take a few minutes to enjoy it and take pictures.

This is a safe and beautiful area to walk along both in the day and at night. These four "Horse Tamers" sculptures have become iconic in St Petersburg on the four corners of this bridge. Something you should definitely see. And take the Canal Tour from here if you have the time, it is like being in Venice, Italy! Read more at my blog: www.mytb.org/kelleygirl

You must walk and take too much phptographs. Very central. If you have a cruise tour, it's a good idea to take some photos under the bridge.

Anichkov Most is one of a few attractions that make SPb SPb. It is more than just an attraction - SPb has many of those. Yes, we all can enjoy Klodt's creations and complain about traffic and crowds. However, IMHO, visiting SPb assumes staying on the bridge and looking at the four horses.

We rode across this bridge several times during our three days in St. Petersburg. It’s right on Nevsky Prospekt and is the most famous bridge over the Fontanka River. There are four distinctly different horses at each corner.

It is the oldest and most famous bridge across the Fontanka River in Saint Petersburg. It has been fully restored after bombing of II World War. You can still see the bullet holes in one of the pedestals of the horse on the right (near Educational Museum) to remind people of the war. Bridge has 4 beautiful horse sculptures, two on each side and amazing iron railing with seahorses. If you look under one horse, you can see a face of a powerful enemy of the tsar. During the II World War horses were removed and buried in the nearby Anichkov Palace garden. I recommend to take time and explore the sculpture of the horses. They are remarkable with all the details.
