Sure, Printing Museum is far from the name of the most exiting attraction in St.Petersburg, but for those who already have seen the Hermitage, Church on the Spilled Blood and Cathrine's Palace, for those who visit St.Petersburg regulary or spend here more than a week it can be interesting!

First you see the small room with several miniatures which show the history of the building. How from compact 2 floors mansion it became apartment house.

After that you are offered to check on two installations. The first one is dedicated to the rental-house part of the building's history, the other one shows examples of printing equipment that had been used in XIX-XX centuries.

With some info given next to each exposition it is easy to imagine the way people lived and worked in these walls!

The entrance fee is just 100 rubles (for Spring 2013) and museum lets you to spend another 30-40 minutes with use!

This museum was found by accident on a wet and miserable day. Inside was a very interesting display of postcards, and in different rooms, everything from an editors office to large printing presses. The guides were very pleasant especially the older ladies looking after the rooms. Thank you for brightening a miserable day!

A very interesting museum for industry enthusiasts. In our case, we went to the address and found a public office where they opened the museum for us and accompanied us all the way. Friendly staff, spoke only Russian but was very courteous and passionate about the theme.
The visit is divided between different floors and rooms up to the lead-typed machines.
A nice visit.
