Wow. What a well worthwhile day. First up my thoughts were on cost, approx $600 each AUD but thought soon perished. What a magnificent way to see St Petersburg including The Hermitage (take the gold room option) and the Palace of Catherine. Our guide, Tania, was so informative, pleasant, patient it was a true pleasure to spend the day with her. Highly recommend this tour and tour company.

We, chose Red October Tour Group as a result of a Trip Advisor search for tours of St. Petersburg, Russia, not originated on our cruise ship. We were a family group of 12 , 6 adults and 6 children from 8 to 16. Our fear was being on a 40 passenger bus and trying to keep our family group together getting on and off the bus and at the attractions. We arrived by a cruise ship and were in St. Petersburg for 2 full days. Red October arranged for our travel vouchers and met us at the ship terminal right on time. We had a 16 passenger MB van for the 12 of us and a tour guide and driver. Our guide Alona and driver Vlad were excellent and spoke very good english. They took us to all the major attractions and we were the front of the line at most places. She was very knowledgeable and interacted well with us all. We left the Hermitage and the summer Palace and saw line ups of over five hours as we were leaving. Our tour included the Ballet and we were picked up and escorted to the Ballet and returned to the ship with no issues. They also recommended the Hydrofoil from Peterhof to the city and it was excellent. This tour exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend this group. Our contact in the US was Red October out of Miami. This tour was very competitive with the prices on the cruise ship and we had a private small tour.EXCELLENT

Had a wonderful tour of St Petersburg with Red October, although expensive, it was worth every penny. Our guide Alana was fantastic. This company comes highly recommended.

I just got a quote from Mike Finn for a 2 Day St. Petersburg tour and it was for $496/person, and it did not include tickets to the Impressionists exhibit, or the Gold Room, and only one lunch. Other tours are half the price and included more. Keep looking, this is a rip off. Also, I was interested in the Tallinn trip, but each time I clicked the link I got the Berlin itinerary. Red October fix your web site - that as well as some of the incorrect English is just unprofessional especially at those prices.

Dear Monica, Thank you for your feedback, your comments are very important to us as we are always targeted to improve. We offer PRIVATE and not BUS tours which can be 2 or even up to 4 times cheaper. Bus or big van tours’ schedule and itinerary are always fixed. Customers are not able to change anything and all follow same program as initially confirmed. Our customers always have a choice and possibility for program modification to bring the cost down. Red October price level for special quality tours with top level services of highly qualified and professional guides is rather competitive at the market. In any case, we would like to thank you for your time and all understanding. Respectfully Yours, RED OCTOBER RUSSIA Laura Lazibnaya

I promised this review in 2015 when we were in St. Petersburg but never got around to it. I’m hoping it is helpful now to people. We had a wonderful 2 days in St. Petersburg - while we were cruising with Royal Caribbean - with our tour guide Elena. She was a wealth of knowledge giving us a lot of information over the 2 days she was with us. We had early admission to The Hermitage, which got us in in front of the crowds. Took the hydrofoil up river to Peterhof and were amazed by the opulence that the royalty amassed. The tour of the Catherine Palace did not disappoint either. We even were treated to lunch at a local restaurant as well as visiting many churches and monuments during our two days. I would highly recommend Red October based on our experience in 2015.
