Large open-air and inside museum area dedicated to oceanic research, ships and even a submarine also open for a visit. Everything is recently renovated and supported with interactive guides.

Nice to place to just go out for a brief walk. I personally din't enjoy the museum in itself - it has nothing special or interesting - but the site in itself is nice.

Nice Museum, really liked the new display "Depth" and walk through a submarine. Museum includes an aquarium and have the opportunity to visit the research vessel with a guide

You can buy tickets to every exhibition separately. The most interesting part was the scientific ship which holds a long exhibition about Arctic expeditions. Leaves you daydreaming of adventure in the far north! Also interesting was the fishing ship. We had a tour with a former merchant mariner ( in Russian), super interesting! The aquariums were quite small but interesting... More

It was very interesting to walk around here and to find very famous ships - which are the part of the modern history. Unbelievable - I never new, that one of the ships was shot in the Cameron's Titanic (because world premier of Titanic was held in Kaliningrad).

Apart from historical buildings, this is probably the best place to visit in the city. We went on the submarine, "Vityaz" and "Victor Patsaev". The last one was really outstanding thanks to the guide. As far as I understand, might be a bit difficult for those who don't speak Russian, but maybe they offer something in English as well

On the day of my visit only one ship was open for excursion apart form the main building of the museum, though there are about 5 of them normally available. It was a space museum on board a ship, which I didn't expect, but the excursion about 4 spacemen from Kaliningrad was very informative.

There are a lot of separate things you can see. We visited the submarine and the aquarium. The submarine was pretty cool to see, but it only takes something like 30 minutes. In the aquarium there were a lot of cool fishes, but their habitats could be better. The tanks should be bigger if you ask me.

The fish in aquarium are held in very bad conditions as the tank for ray fish, for instance, is the size of average tank held at home. the ray fish actually cannot move. Though the buildings have been renovated, there is nothing much to see, except some written information about historical stuff and that is all.
