Great museum, just a pity that not too much English around, but VERY much worth visiting. Probably the best Amber museum in the world. The exhibition is so beautiful. If you like Amber, this is a must !! And the location is very beautiful too, just near a large park with a nice view.

Small museum housed in one of the renovated structure from Königsberg days. The exhibits are interesting and I was amazed by the stones and fossils. A stroll around the museum was relaxing. There were shops in the museum as well as street stalls outside selling ambers. In my observation, the ambers are cheaper and of more choices in Gdańsk, Poland,... More

Beautiful museum. Many rare exponents are presented there, including a glimpse of the Amber Room. Must-visit for anyone interested in history, the stone and maybe a little shopping

the Museum is located in the tower of the fortification. This historical building. In the Museum you can learn a lot on the history of amber. I remember a lizard caught in amber thousands of years ago. In addition the Museum has many very beautiful pieces of amber.

Very interesting place which tells you the story of the amber. The museum located in old German fort. Take the time to walk around the fort itself.

If you like amber, the museum is a must-see. If not, it's worth visiting just to learn how most of the amber things and jewelry is produced.

The museum gives an overview of Kaliningrad's famous semi precious stone, amber, which is actually fossilised tree sap. The jewelry is nice and reasonably priced. Worth buying a set or two.
