I was here as part of a walking tour while doing the G-Adventure Trans- Siberian Rail trip. The city was preparing for the New Year celebrations and the Square was already a buzz of activity. The Farmer Market was happening at the Square as well so it became a memorable event for such a short visit!!

Another great place to visit. Its great just to walk around and take in the atmosphere. Russians are extremely respectful towards their soldiers that have fought and fallen. Its something many more of us could learn from. The monument itself is nothing short of awesome and really makes the atmosphere even more electric. Many people are around sharing the experience... We visited this square Friday. In this square operates an open-air fish market, fruit, vegetables and food. It is very large with lots of things to buy and eat.

The Central Square is a huge square that overlooks the harbor. Many stunning monuments are in the square. And the views of the Russian fleet are also impressive.

This is a town square for festivals and fairs, people watching and relaxing as well. If nothing is going on, there are two groups of sculptures and the memorial to the Fighters for the Soviet Power stands on the centre of the square to keep you company. We didn't stayed long on that day, just took a few photos. Happy... More

Donkeys that are painted so you can take pictures with them. Not crowded in the daytime but at night for a show, packed.

I passed through the square many times just because first of all, it was a nice place to get away from climbing the hills :) However, the square is the heart of the city with the impressively larger monument of past fighters of the Soviet power . Along with the backdrop of Russian architecture, the bridge, the old Soviet supermarket..,... More

I passed by Central Square on my walking/bus ride tour of the city. It was very interesting. I enjoy learning about other cultures and their history.

This park is within easy walking distance of the port and other main attractions in Vladivostok. Its worth a short visit to see the huge bronze statues and monument to fighters for soviet power in the far east. Its interesting from a historical point of view to see what was a soviet propaganda piece in days gone by. Today people... More
