The path here is perilous, worn, and not lit at all. The view at the top is your reward for deciding to come to Vladivostok, Russia for some strange reason

A spot not to miss for viewing the bustling of the city and port, the beautiful bridge and busyness of people and vehicles moving around. I would recommend to combine this with the Furnicular ride - max 10 minutes walk from the vantage point.

The place is rather run down (including the stairs leading to the spot) but of course it's not the main focus - it's more what you can see from the spot! Hopefully there'll be some renovation to rebuild the place for tourists.

We didn't realise that the bus stop at the foothill was covered by route bus 15 (we passed by the day before heading to Primoskiy Oceanarium), otherwise it would be a perfect day trip: head to Primoskiy Oceanarium in the morning and finish by 4pm, head into town by bus 15 and stop by the foothill, get up for photo taking and viewing, subsequently walk to the Furnicular station for a ride down then walk towards Svetlanskaya street (and stop by the submarine museum on the way!).

We did this in two days more leisurely.

Nice view, was really busy the day I went with many guests from the cruise ship, there are places to sit but you better be quick, take some water. View of the entire harbour it’s a bit uneven on the way up and there is a few street vendors setting up with umbrellas for drinks.

First impressions are bad, as the acess is via a cheap looking stair, typically Russian.
The view however is worth the experience.
Foodwise, very expensive and "not bad" taste as Russians would say but it's not Cordon Bleu

You can see a nice view of Golden Horn bay. It is better to ride on line 15(about 20minutes from Izumrud bus stop in front of siberian bank and not from the same name bus stop in front of Izumrud shopping center nearby) and then you can easily find the steps toward the viewpoint and after enjoying the view you can go down to the cablecar upper station which you can find from the viewpoint.Opposite way such as bus stop DVGTU-walk-cable car lower station-viewpoint is not recommendable as you may have difficulty to find the right way.

The statue here isn't anything exciting, but the view over the whole bay is amazing. It gets pretty crowded at times, especially near sunset.

I visited by car and it's also convenient to access by car. There is no parking lot but few vacsncies available near the site. It was raining but scenic view was awesome.

There are quite a few steps to get to the top (and a few pot holes) but you are rewarded with a magnificent view across the Bosporus, the bridge, the harbour, the golden domes of the church. At the top is a monument to the brothers Cyril and methodius who gave the Russians their alphabet. For the romantically enclined: leave a lock on one of the steel girders on the top to commemorate your visit. Having said that - I am not sure it is much appreciated, the authorities in Paris are not too keen on these locks on the bridges across the Seine.
