We are a company that sends tourists to Japan. Because of the closed borders, we had to look for an alternative to travel for our clients and decided to try Kamchatka. We found the VolcanoesLand company on the Internet, saw that it works with foreign tourists, and realized that we would most likely agree on the quality of services.

We had a small study trip for 8 days.
Mini-group (5 people), all the time they lived in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and went on excursions one day.
There was rafting on the Bystraya river, climbing Mount Camel and climbing Mutnovsky volcano, boat trip, excursion around the region's capital, and helicopter tour to the geysers.

The excursion order changed due to weather conditions, but everything went well and according to plan. Eduard recommended places for dinner in Elizovo and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and suggested an excellent dinner at the dacha of local residents (a very vivid impression!). He was always in touch and ready to help.

Thanks for the trip, we hope to come back :)

We spend three weeks on a trekking tour in Kamchatka with the guys of Krai Volkanov (Volcanoe’s Land). The tour was very well organized; our guide Anton and driver Maxim definitely knew their way around on the wilderness trails and roads (+off-roads) of Kamchatka. They took excellent care of the group, always made sure we got the best views of the mountains and they were flexible enough to change the itinerary (where possible) to avoid bad weather (let’s be honest, it’s Kamchatka, so the weather isn’t always warm and sunny).
Great tour – and a big “thanks” to the guys in Kamchatka!

Just returned from Kamchatka, where we booked an amazing 10day-tour with VolcanoesLand. Booking process from Switzerland via email was smooth (even if communication in english was sometimes approximate). We had to pay around 30% in advance by bank transfer and we were a bit nervous because it was a big amount of money. But you can definitely trust them: they were waiting for us at the airport and they are actually a quite big and experienced travel company!! Everything went perfectly : they managed to quickly and efficiently rearrange the initial program to the weather conditions in order to concentrate most of the activities on dry days (7 out of 10 in July). Accommodation consisted of basic hotels but rooms were clean and came with private bathrooms, and most importantly comfortable beds. We successfully climbed Avachinsky volcanoe (stayed there in unexpectedly comfortable huts) and Mutnovsky volcanoe (partly with snowmobile early July!). We did a rafting trip on Bystraya river and a boat trip to Avacha bay, and the two classical helicopter excursions (Valley of Geysers and Kurilskoe lake). They finally drove us to local museums, beaches, monuments and markets.

We just got back from a 13 days trip in Kamchtaka. We are sorry to say that our visit was not experienced to the full, some of it because of the weather and some is the company's fault.
First, I have to say that all the arrangements prior to the arrival were well conducted. However, as for the tour itslef, there is a lot to improve:
1. The guides that accompanied us weren't actually guides. They were just local people who spoke decent English (one was an interpeter and the other was a driver). They were very nice people and very willing to satisfy, but lacked some necessary skills a tour guide should have.
2. The weather during our stay was not in our favour and thus some of our planned activities were cancelled. That is of course not the company's fault. However, we felt that they didn't have a sufficient arsenal of alternative activities, so the time of our staying was not used efficiently.
3. Due to the fact the people who make the decisions in the company didn't speak English, all of the communication was conducted through middle-men and that created a lot of problems when we had to make necessary changes in the program.

In general, we are experienced travelers who have used the services of many travel agencies around the world and we are quite dissapointed from this company's professionalism.

I got to know of th company though a web search and asked them for help to go to see Kuril Lke and the bears when visiting Petropavlovsk Kamchatkyi recently. When I got to PpK, I e-mailed and got a prompt phone call from Irina who organised for me to go to KL (twice, since the first time had to be aborted because of the weather) and to he Valley of the geysers. I and a travelling companion were kept informed of all details, and pikced up and returned to our hotels even though the trips end late in the day. Irina was very informative about Kamchatka and PpK, and because of her effort and helpfulness we had a fantastics time. Bears, geysers, hot springs for bathing, the most extraordinary scenery... my hoghest recommendation (also for our tourguides of the helicopter company!)
