Thank you for the fascinating tour I had with Olga in February. The personal introduction to Moscow history made it so much more enjoyable than it would have been on my own. Olga came really well prepared with accompanying photos and video to illustrate her talk. I highly recommend MoscowMania to other travellers who want more than a superficial treatment of what they are seeing.

Very interesting - we were shown lots of places that weren't in our guidebook and had the opportunity to ask lots of questions. Our guide had a very good depth of knowledge.

We were interested in 2 of Moscow Mania's tours: Zamoskvorechye and the Seven Sisters. Olga at Moscow Mania was very accommodating and arranged for us to combine them into a single tour, which was much more efficient for us both time- and cost-wise. Our tour guide (another Olga) was very professional and very knowledgeable, especially about Zamoskvorechye. She gave interesting explanations of the history of Zamoskvorechye, and took us through many “nooks and crannies” where there were interesting buildings that we would never have found on our own. She was especially knowledgeable about religion and about different styles of architecture. She was engaging, enthusiastic, and always willing to answer our questions. She also gave us several helpful recommendations for other Moscow sights that we might want to see on our own and how best to get to them.
The one thing that could have been improved was the Seven Sisters portion of the tour. Olga didn’t seem to have nearly as much information about them and didn’t seem sure of what she should show/tell us. She seemed to be hoping we would be happy to just keep walking around Zamoskvorechye. We felt that she and Moscow Mania hadn’t discussed this portion of the tour enough. That's the only reason we didn't give this tour 5 stars.

We did a tour with Stan, he was really knowledgable about architecture, history and culture - he gave truly perceptive insights tying together contemporary history and society that you'd never get from a regular tour or book. It was great to walk around Moscow, take in some sights and have genuine conversation rather than just a few surface details that you could get from a book. It was a rainy day and Stan dealt with it well and flexibly... Highly recommend!

Thank you for our two tours. Both of our guides (Olga and Stan) were fantastic. They had a wealth of information to share, and we greatly appreciated their warmth and approachability. We thoroughly recommend them to others. The communication before the tour was also excellent.

Olga Burtseva was our private guide for our 4-day-stay in Moscow. She was perfect. She has prepared a very interesting program as per our wishes. Insipide of the well prepared Programm she has been very flexible to follow our desires and interests of the day. She also has very well assisted my mother who had to use a while chair. Olga is very fluent in English, and has very profound knowledge about the city, the history and the life in Mosca and is very prepared to share her knowledge with the guests. She has also arranged for all our dinner reservations and all worked very well. I can highly recommend Olga. It is so much easier to travel in Moscow with a competent guide, since all the signs are in Russian language, impossible for non-Russians to read. Moscow is a very beautiful city and thanks to Olga very easy to explore.

I traveled to Suzdal Vladimir for the day yesterday and one of most interesting, well-planned tours I have ever been on. Olga, my guide, was knowlegeable, enthusiastic, clear and concise. The information she provided was not just a list of facts but a A super one day tour of Suzdal Vladimir with Olga one of the MoscowMania guides. It wasn't just facts in this well-planned tour. It was a successful effort at helping me better understand past and present Russian life as well as see some stunning beautiful and interesting sights. She had obviously spent many hours planning this trip according to my interests. It was a very full and satisfying day. And as I saw the huge tour groups being led around like cattle I realized how worth while was the extra cost of such a competent private guide. Actually 3 or the people sharing would be about the same price as a tour group. Excellent job in all respects
