Overall this tour was good and Paul was very knowledgeable but I felt it was not described accurately on the website and probably wouldn’t have booked it if it had been. The part of the tour going to see Lenin’s tomb, the KGB building, St Basil’s cathedral and the tomb of the unknown soldier was good and Paul was happy to accomodate spending more time at things we were more interested in. However it was very slow, spending in my opinion an unnecessarily long amount of time at each attraction. This made the tour quite uncomfortable as it was very cold (and I imagine it would be uncomfortable in the heat too as we were just standing on the side of the road). I feel some of the information could have been given while we were walking to or from an attraction so there was less time spent travelling around. The second part of the tour was a tour of the metro stations. On the website it says we will visit two metro stations which would have been fine but we actually visited 5. We were not that interested in the stations and would have skipped this part of the tour if we had known what it would entail. Overall the tour took us 5 hours but I feel it could have been done in 3 if the time was used more efficiently. It was a good tour but I would not recommend it unless you are articulately interested in the metro stations.

Paul accommodated my schedule and in 5 hours (I had a 7 hours layover), he took me to the most important parts of Moscow. He communicates very well in English and Spanish and he has a degree in economics. So, he gave me a very interesting perspective of Russia's current situation and its evolution from Lenin, Stalin, Bhreznev until today. He has created his own library of pictures and stories which makes the tour more interesting than the standard tour. Additionally, he comes from the area, so you will be talking with a well educated Russian with an international perspective. I strongly recommend Paul for your tours.

Paul is genial and very knowledgeable on his tour matters. The red square tour was shared with another couple which provided diverse perspectives on Lenin and on other current world events. It was great to get a brief but frank view from a Russian citizen. I achieved my goal of getting an informative (historic) overview of central Moscow. The metro tour provided interesting information on the building of stunning infrastructure of its time which has stood the test of time. The political machinations surrounding its initial development and its inextricable relationship with Stalin were well explained between train movements. As it transpired I regretted not having Paul’s guidance on my subsequent tour of the Kremlin.

Finished off a great solo custom tour with Paul. It was not only great to hear his infinite knowledge of Russian history, but also refreshing to hear his perspectives on Russian culture. I would recommend him to anyone visiting the country.

We booked Paul for a 1 day Moscow city tour. It was for myself, my husband and parents. Paul met us promptly and his English was superb (we thought he had studied in America). To say he knows his history would be an understatement. I defy anyone to find a more knowledgeable tour guide. He spent upwards of 7 hours with us (with one coffee break) and I'm sure he could have carried on for another 7!! The only reason we gave 4*s is because at times it was possibly more information than we were able to digest and more breaks to rest our aching legs would have been appreciated! Otherwise we had the best time with him and would highly recommend! We learnt so much!
