The nearest metro station is almost 2km from the university. Take a bus because walking will take you almost 20minutes. You can only see the building from the outside. It's a shame, we weren't allowed even to enter.

Without question, the most beautiful "Stalin" building in Moscow. Towering over the city, it's majestic apperance knocked me out back in 1997 when I first moved to Moscow. Back then it was dark grey and had trees growing out of the facade... Several years ago they cleaned it up and it's beautiful. Not to be missed plus the view from... More

It is a huge building, very pretty. From the metro stations, it is a very long walking. Could not get into the building, tourist is not allowed. Didn't find out how to get the permission.

This structure was specific in its architecture to the Communist Era. You find buildings this style in most of the former communist countries, just like you find the capitols in all the states of USA.

It is a university, a lot of people go there it is close to a river and It has beautiful architecture. It is considered the best University in Russia and great minds and great people had studied there. Usually as the view is so beautiful it is an obligated stop when in Moscow.

This is one of the seven sisters, so it's worth a visit just for that. But the adjacent gardens and viewing spot over the city and Olympic park make this a wonderful stop. Follow the locals through the woods for a shortcut to the metro station on the bridge for your return trip.

Due to the shortage of time I could only see it from the outside but for seeing it I had to walk a lot due to which I don't think it was a wise decision just to see it from the outside.

Amazing architecture, and the area is very green with stunning views. This is also covered as a part of Hop on Hop off tour. Very close to Sparrow Hill
