A good view of Moscow and the narby University

The highest point on the outskirts of Moscow presenting a panoramic view of this historical city. Gets busy there so best to view early morning

Not much to see, but wide panorama at the site. Travelling there gives an idea of the layout of the city, with its ring routes.

We saw autumn flowers on Sparrow Hills on the way to Trinity Church. A beautiful pastel green church, with beautiful outdoor mosaics, attracted our group’s attention. “This is the highest point in Moscow,” said our guide Irina. “I went to Moscow State University that is called one of the ‘Seven Sisters’ of Stalin. We would stop by the Trinity Church... More

One of the highest points for a view over the city which provides the opportunity to check out the modern towers in the business district which, we were told, were mainly designed by Norman Foster.

We walked through the park up to the viewpoit where we could see right across the city. The stadium stood out in the foreground and the modern tower buildings made an impressive skyline.

Its a must see during your visit to Moscow. A little far from the city but worth a visit. During our visit there was a marathon and the place was full of young students.

Unusual name, but Sparrow Hill is in one of the highest if not the highest pint in Moscow and right opposite Moscow University. It has some unusual history surrounding it and is a great spot for some high point photos .

Moscow is amazing, so many green spaces. Post communism they seem to have knocked down many of the ugly soviet residential complexes and converted them to green spaces. The city is clean, very green and has an aura of power about it. Sparrow hill is a viewing point for the whole city of approx 15 million people.

If you do have the time and don't feel like paying to go up to overpriced observation decks around the city to have a panoramic view of the city, this is the place for you. Take metro red line to Vorobyovy Gory Station and follow the signs to the nature reserve that is well marked from the train station. It... More
